Great staff, man that booked us in was very helpful, he seemed to be doing lots of jobs like cooking and serving breakfast which was very nice.

Beautiful sea view

The hotel is in an amazing location with lovely sea views from the dining room, our room was small and a little rundown but clean. Fresh sheets and towels. Pillows were a bit flat and bed a bit lumpy and bouncy but overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. We will return

Great Stay

Very enjoyable stay. The hosts couldn't do enough for us, from providing us with a takeaway cup of tea whilst waiting to check in, to swapping rooms for us. The hotel was well situated and a bus stop just down the road. The breakfast was delicious, piping hot and hot plates too which is a rarity. Another great idea was putting your room number & mobile number in your car windscreen, so you could contact the relevant person to move their car if you were blocked in. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Good location, very short walk to town and beach. The hotel is badly managed and no attention has been taken to improve the facilities. Only one person there has an idea on what is required, and that is not the management.

Basic stay

Check in went well. Breakfadt was a decent size and good variety on offer. However things took a turn for the worst when the shower didnt drain, had to get our mid shower for staff to pour drain cleaner down. Returned to shower and it filled even more leaving me trapped in the shower as was unable to opem shower doors due to over flooding. Staff only offereed to go up 2 more levels to shower however this was inconvenient due to being mid shower. Unable to raise wjth staff again on departure as no one was to be seen.

Ok. Good & bad points

Location ✔️ helpful staff ✔️ free parking ✔️ free yummy breakfast ✔️ lift ✔️ power shower ✔️however, this was a dog friendly stay whereby the windows opened 1ft from the floor and we were on 4th floor which meant we had to have the window permanently closed on a 25 degree day in a 8’ x 8’ room - stifling.. had to spend as much time out the room as poss… room was tiny, dust and hairs in carpet around skirting, bed was sooo loud & squeaky, kettle didn’t reach table top and was corded so had to make tea on floor.. all in all an ‘ok’ stay but wouldn’t return, WSM tho was amazing. Def recommend Michaelangelos 5* food service and atmosphere.

Bar wasn't open neither was the sun terrace 2 reasons i chose this hotels housekeeping did enter our room at all during our 3 night stay. Sea view rooms have to put up with the very loud noise from the lift that sounded like a train i recorded it ! Staff were nice. Breakfast 1 sausage 1 bacon fried egg beans hash brown. I know it was end of season but we still payed full price for half a hotel.

This property offered bar but was closed no seaview breakfast service 8am 9am that's it.. parking nightmare having to come all the way back on my mobility scooter because other customer needed to move is car ....we ended up coming back a day/night early due to being unhappy..

For 1 it’s breaching the advertising standards in as much as it says breakfast is available,it’s not they serve no food or drink.it needs a thorough overhaul. My room was not cleaned properly,the bed tilted,the shower was a hazard, the sink was too silly

I was very disappointed with my stay when we arrived at receptions the person was very happy taking the money for how stay we when out for the evening and we can back put on the TV and we had a knock on the door to say can we keep the noise down the room was so hot we had all the windows open so maybe it seemed lowered but we were very disappointed the room wasn't the best beds very uncomfortable and not very clean and i would never book to stay there again

Pros * The hotel location is close by the beach and transport links. * The bath was good with hot water. Cons * Asked for double bed but when arrived at the room there was two single beds (staff merged the beds together after complaining about it). * Flushing the toliet made a loud noise for 3-5 minutes which was very annoying. * Limited car space parking at the front. * The hotel cleanliness was not good and dirty

Where to start well I was woken up at 1oclock by another resident shouting because there was someone else in there room as they had the master key for every room in this hotel. When the staff came up at about 2oclock to see what was going on they couldn’t explain how the other resident had the master key and it ended up with the police being called. The person also opened my door to show the staff that the other guy had the master key. There are no cameras in the hallways just one down stairs the main door is supported to be locked at 6 but was still open at 11 o’clock this place is a joke never again will I stay here and would advise others not to bother either

We booked a seaview room with buffet breakfast for 1 night. When we areived at the hotel, we checked in and filled in our details then were given the keys. The room was ok, there was a dead fly on the bedside table but apart from that it looked clean but basic. The following morning we headed down for breakfast at 9:10am before our 10am checkout time. Only to find breakfast had finished at 9am and you had to pre book your table. Nowhere in my booking did it state this or any links or pages to make that table booking. Nor did the staff at check in give us this information or ask us to book our breakfast table, even though they could see breakfast was included in our booking. Nor were we offered any money back from the extra we had paid to include the breakfast.

Nice but wouldn’t return

Nice sized room for 3 adults. Staff a bit rude. Received a call 24 hours before stay saying the room wasn’t suitable for 3 adults (myself and my parents) despite booking in advance. Seemed to change his tune when informed it was a family stay. Sheets had holes in them and could do with a refresh. Was clearly only set up for 2 as only had 2 mugs etc. We were late due to delays with cycling event and reception staff were not accommodating when we arrived. No information on where our room was other than ‘it tells you in the lift’. Overall slept well but certainly would not return.

Arrived & there was no parking so had to pay for parking down the road. The room was filthy dirty. The shower gel & shampoo from the previous guest still in the shower. The bed looked like it was just made (and not clean sheets). Doesn’t look like the room was cleaned after the last guest had stayed. The menu in the room stated food served until 11pm but when we went down for dinner at 8pm we were told there was entertainment on that night so no food being served. We ended up leaving the hotel & not staying the night as didn’t want to stay in a dirty room so we drove home. The hotel offered no compensation or refund. Expedia also would not offer any sort of refund.

Never again

On arriving no one to check in girl was sat on her phone with legs up watching some sort of loud music, then proceeded to discuss my booking, waving keys around with another guys, in a different language, so no idea what was being said but not exactly welcoming. Room I was in with filthy to the point that I went and asked for a different room, urine in the toilet, light switch black shower curtain grotesque spare pillow stained ( I’d like to also point out I’ve never ever complained about a hotel in 42 years) they did move me rooms, although no apology given, made to feel awkward, in going to get my stuff from the first room there was a man in there who said it wasn’t urine it was chemicals ( it absolutely wasn’t ) and seemed really annoyed that I dared complain. New room was better but still not worth the £85 charged, bed really uncomfortable, shower leaking from hose so much none came from the shower head. Shower also didn’t drain so because of how much water leaking had to stop to prevent flooding the bathroom, I was woken by two people f*ing at the top of the voices, felt scared and unsafe, glad my partner was there, who despite me saying he would be arriving a bit later, was pretty much shouted at when he arrived to say he couldn’t stay in a single room with another person ( we had booked and paid for a double). Hands down revolting!!!!!

The room was really the bare minimum, but clean. It was spacious. When we arrived the TV didnt have a remote, the lamp next to the bed didnt work, and the wall had signs of damp. The staff replaced the TV with a smaller one, but it had a remote and worked. There is no frills in this place. The bar area is temprarily closed. Its seafacing, has a lift and has parking for your car.

Old property desperately in need of major renovations and upgrades. Lots of mould in the shower area, although everything was clean. Unfortunately I had shocking neighbours who argued, fought and swore at each other all night. The thin walk between our rooms meant I could hear every word and violent action. They left early in the morning before the staff were up. Not the hotel’s fault but it just added to the negative experience.
