"What a wonderful few days on SML! The cabin is quaint and tucked away in a quiet area which was perfect for us to celebrate our anniversary. Laura was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Our well behaved lab enjoyed the dock and there was enough space in the second floor/street-side room for us to set up her crate. The view from the back deck was great and we saw many osprey flying nearby. We would definitely stay here again!"

"My wife and stayed at this property for our 25th anniversary and we had a the most relaxing, amazing time. The house is located in the back of a quiet cove. Just a perfect place to enjoy the lake without a lot of distractions. We loved it!"

"We loved the cozy living room and amazing screen porch. There was plenty of space for our two young kids, us, and my sister! There was a huge and super comfy sectional sofa and a great fireplace that we made an awesome fire in with the firewood that the hosts left for us. We had a great time hanging out in the house since it rained most of the weekend and was pretty cold. When it did clear up a little, the view from the dock was gorgeous! Had we not had two small children and our dog running...

"Cottage very clean and comfortable! Great location with views of mountains and close proximity to site seeing of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachia Trail. Very nice state park at Smith Lake and would recommend to see. Host would respond quickly to any questions we had while at cottage and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely book cottage again to our next trip back to the area!!"

"Beautiful house and very clean. The house is remote. Would recommend you plan to stay at the home the whole time. The lake is beautiful and private. We suggest bringing your supplies down to the lake so you don’t have to go back up and down the hill from the lake. We did enjoy our stay. We would go back with friends and family."

"A magical sunrise and sunset by the lake. It was peaceful and quiet. The kids enjoyed the board games. The views from the porch is amazing. We were there for a couple of nights due to a wedding. We’re thankful for the popcorn we found as we got in later then excepted. The site is very well maintained. We hope to book there again soon."

"The beds were so uncomfortable. The bathroom door in the basement didn’t close. The wood shudder inside the house on the windows didn’t close fully. The house had an old smell and animal pee. I did one load of laundry and noticed plumbing was duct taped together and held up by yellow electrical wire and had negative fall. I contacted Courtney before staying and she was a pleasure to chat with and made sure there was dress propane there for us to grill and have some good recommendations on...
