"The STRAT is affordable, but there are several major downsides that impacted our stay. The biggest issue is the overwhelming smoke—it carries throughout the property, not just the casino. There is also poor signage for 21+ areas, which led to an uncomfortable situation where a bartender was unnecessarily rude when we unknowingly walked into a lounge just to order food to-go. Food options are very limited late at night, with most restaurants closing around 10 PM, leaving only McDonald’s or an overpriced convenience store. The pool also closes early (5–6 PM), which many guests didn’t seem aware of. There are also significant extra costs—resort fees and deposits added hundreds at check-in. Parking is expensive and chaotic, and the garage felt unsafe at times with speeding cars and blocked entrances. The overall environment didn’t feel very family-friendly, and we even witnessed solicitation happening openly, which added to the discomfort. While the price is appealing, I would not stay here again."
