"The view of the Truckee River and the surrounding city and hills is wonderful. The place is very clean and nice. There is even an instruction on how to find the light switch in the bathroom -- many might not think to do that. We walked the river walk and enjoyed some of the restaurants around. We recommend this location."

"Everything about the property was great and as described. The only problem was that there was a patch of broken glass that my daughter found with her foot. I guess the housecleaner didn't thoroughly vacuum."

"The apartment was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids - 11 and 13) and our border collie. The hosts were super responsive and so kind, they made our stay extra convenient. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe, great for my morning runs and walks with the dog. We had such a fun Memorial Day weekend!"

"My husband and I were in town for a friends wedding and I was so lucky to have found this listing! The owner was so pleasant and welcoming! As we approached the caboose were were both so excited to see how ever this could be converted to a little studio but oh my!! It was literally perfect!! The host had coffee and tea and such thoughtful touches. I would definitely recommend staying here if your visiting VC"

"For the price, this was an amazing stay for my 6-person family! We booked the 2-room suite with the kitchenette. Making our food in-room (and burgers on the patio grill) saved us so much money! The pool, mini-golf, and proximity to downtown are great. There were some broken things (blinds, door stopper, burner on stove), and the parking garage didn't fit our Suburban with bike rack on back, so that was a pain, but staff was nice to help with that."

"Beautiful Lakefront Escape for a Large Family Gathering. My family of 9 adults and 1 toddler stayed at House of the Stars over the holidays to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. The host was extremely accommodating, allowing us an early check-in so we could settle in before the celebrations began. The home was immaculately kept and had everything we needed to feel comfortable as a large group. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the pots, pans and appliances necessary to cook multiple meals...
