Location is excellent. Staff was very helpful. Rooms are dated, but that’s the charm of it. We would have liked a mini fridge and a hair dryer, but definitely not a deal breaker.
In the last 30 years of hotel/motel stays, I can only remember a handful that stood out. This stay will always stand out in my mind. So unique and comfortable. Loved the courtyard with the old school seating etc. The rooms were so well done, you would think you were back in the 60s If we ever get back to Bozeman, we wouldn't stay anywhere else but the Pioneer
Point out that there is a refrigerator. Otherwise, excellent staff and facilities.

We expected a room like the photos. Instead we received a room with a 3.5ft x 3.5ft standup shower where the shower curtain stuck to you, water was constantly in my eyes and didn’t drain properly. Stained carpet, flooring and chairs. The room was smaller than expected. The bed however was comfortable, clean and tidy. If you do choose to stay there, don’t stay in room #2. I wouldn’t make the same choice staying in West Glacier.
The price was great, so dealing with a few inconveniences happens. There wasn't a coffeemaker or microwave in our room, so our plan to have microwaved dinners didn't work! We bought a little coffee maker and some coffee. Had we asked they had extra coffee pots available. So ask before you buy. I don't know if they might have had a microwave or not. It was comfortable. The water in the shower hard to keep one temp, but I got clean. The ac/heat unit was either hot or cold! But it worked! I'm sure I wouldn't take my older parents there, but for me and my kids, I'd stay there again.
Super easy access to Yellowstone NP.
Everything in West Yellowstone is very overpriced however, we found Pioneer to be great value! It's not the newest by any means, but the full size kitchen was fantastic and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It's also a real treat that it's only a couple minutes from the west entrance to the park! The only downside is the wifi was very average so if you need high speed internet come prepared. We would happily stay here again!
I absolutely loved it! The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the room was nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was fully equipped with all the kitchen utensils. I would definitely choose this place again for my next trip
We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by providing excellent recommendations for places to see in Yellowstone, which made our trip even more memorable. The hotel's location was convenient and made it easy to explore the area. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the amenities were great. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay to get in out of the elements!

This place was quaint. A throwback to what overnight accommodations used to be like in the 60's. The owner was quite delightful. The beds are small and extra firm...and there are no "amenities". If you are looking for a place to sleep with no frills, this is it.
Staff was very courteous and helpful. Staff went out of their way to handle any request or answer any questions that arose. These cabins are perfect. They give off the Yellowstone log cabin wilderness five. They are not the white walls and hard floors like most materials. A perfect place to just stay the night after a long day in the park.

Worst description by Expedia for explaining property features.
Very poor water pressure out of the shower , I don't know if this is a citywide thing or just location, but you shouldn't be able to charge over $99 for a room with this low water pressure, everything else was fine nice owner.

Couch and floor smelled like piss. Pull out couch mattress looked like it was from a prison from the 70s.
The door was creaking, the lamp was broken, and the room was so tiny that it was exhausting. The shower in the bathroom was in such a state that I couldn't bring myself to step in barefoot, so the extra slippers were a lifesaver. I couldn't even charge my phone on the bedside nightstand because the outlet was broken. The windows all around the room couldn't be opened—or the curtains drawn—because the surrounding area was so unpleasant."
