"Overall, our stay was fine, but it wasn’t particularly memorable. We chose Porches for its unique charm and location in North Adams, but we found that it didn’t feel as connected to downtown as the advertising had led us to expect. The Victorian aesthetic is fun and distinctive, but the rooms felt somewhat dated and run-down. Given the price, I’d likely choose a different place for our next stay."

"I travel for work and had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 months. This is a great lodge in a lovely part of the country. The friendly staff will go out of their way to accomodate guests if at all possible. This is a modernized lodge type property in a picturesque setting. There are room options that include a sauna in the room. There is also a flash heater type of water heater that provides almost instant and endless hot water on demand. The breakfast offerings include the personal waffle iron kit and all you can eat of it. I never had even the slightest issue with cleanliness and the staff strives to make your stay enjoyable. I don’t know how this property rates with others, but I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars."

"The pool was not available due to repair. The parking was limited (we had to walk up/down the hill to overflow parking). The faucet in our room made machine gun noise. The room was pretty big and clean. Deli was good. The restaurant bartender was very helpful. The shuttle bus service was great."
