We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Solaria, and it was an absolutely perfect week. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we made contact with Patty and she met us as agreed. Her directions were great. She took us to the house and showed us around. We had ordered food from the island provisioner and they had put everything away for us when we arrived. We had some issues with the WiFi and they immediately brought another modem. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We only used one bedroom, the one by the pool, since it was just the two of us. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cool and the bed was extremely comfortable.
And then there’s that view... you never get tired of it. From morning to sunset it’s simply breathtaking. The pool was always refreshing and we used the speaker connected to our cell phones to play our favorite music.
Our favorite beach was Smugglers Cove. The water was calm, cool, refreshing and crystal clear. the house provided beach towels and chairs. We also enjoyed Long Bay Beach one day but it was a little wavier. We enjoyed Brewers Bay on our last day, next time we will go there more often, Tortola is recovering nicely from the hurricane a couple of years ago. Tourism is coming back and the locals are very grateful for the business. Service is generally great and you feel safe and welcome.
We mostly went to Tropical Fusion and Bananakeet restaurants and tried the Painkillers everywhere we went, but Casper at Tropical Fusion makes the best anywhere, hands down.
We rented our car from Jerry’s and it was a perfect experience as well. Samantha recommended jerry as well as the provisioner. Samantha’s recommendations were spot on.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tortola and look forward to returning someday. When we do, we will definitely stay at Solaria.
