Richard Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, when refurbishing a home built in 1915, there will be many special characteristics that evolve :). Honestly, Jay and I feel that is what brings character to The Benjamin. You are correct…in the kitchen, there is a loose tile. Unfortunately, a previous guest actually dropped something quite large and shattered it. With tile floors, unless you remove the entire floor and start from beginning …it is very difficult to secure the replacement tiles. We frequent the property often, to ensure there are no maintenance or safety concerns. I do hope your party enjoyed themselves and had safe travels back. :), Becky

William, Jay and I are so sorry for the issue with the ac unit. I wish we would have known the rooms were still warm. Dale, Thank you for leaving a honest review. I would like to start by saying...I am highly allergic to mold and and have asthma. One of the triggers to my asthma attacks, is the presences of mold. With this being said...Jay and I have gone through extreme measures to ensure The Benjamin has as clean air as possible. We have installed an air purifier on the furnace and a Titan 1000 Hydroxal machine in the cellar. The cellar has been fully encapsulated with a special mold resistant 6 mil plastic and the subfloor and beams are treated twice a year with an antimicrobial cleaner, that is of hospital grade. The fan on the furnace is set at run, to ensure a constant movement of the homes air. If the fan on the thermostat is moved to auto or to off the old house smell can be prominent. Unfortunately, with a 120 year old home, that will exist. I do know that I was the one to follow after your departure and the fan was turned to off. I again would like to apologize for your issues. The last thing Jay and I want is to have our guests not have an amazing time. Sincerely, Jay and Becky
