The staff could not have been more helpful (especially as we had to make an amendment to our booking for medical reasons). The hotel was spotlessly clean as was our room. The bed was big and extremely comfortable, as were the pillows (quite rare in hotels from our experience). We ate in the restaurant on one evening and in the bar area on another and both times were very happy with the quality of food and service. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of food and drink options. Use of the spa facilities were an added bonus."

Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles."
