Would like to thank Holiday Inn Express in Wells Maine for a totally wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in til the time we left we felt we were in company of friends. Every one was professional and went out of there way to make you feel at home. Special shout out to James and his breakfast buffet. Wish I had gotten every one’s name because this group of staff is the blue print that corporate should use for all its Inns. John and Judie Halbach. PS almost booked another night just to extend our stay.

Newer property. Conveniently located to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. Indoor pool very small I’m sure summer time can’t move in there. Overall very clean and good customer service

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The one major downside was the lack of sound proofing. We could hear everything going on in the hall and people moving around in rooms around us.

All was good except the people above us were banging on the floor all day and night and people or kids on our flooring slamming doors and running in the hallway. We should have asked for top floor!

My husband and I stayed in October 2023, and we could not have been happier with the hotel and friendly staff! It was clean, comfortable, stocked with great toiletries (Dove products), and it had the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. We would highly recommend staying here!

Best place to stay for me.
The Holiday Inn Express is by far the nicest place that I've stayed at in Wells. I come up there about 2 weekends a month and try new places all the time. I've already booked my next stay and it's here.

After pulling the comforter back I found hair and what looked like bugs on the bed. I called the front desk and Kayla immediately switched my room. All seemed ok, but the shower had rust all on the floor. Definitely needs work with cleanliness.

Very clean facility. Our room was perfectly maintained. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety. The breakfast area was well stocked and neatly kept. I will stay there again. Staff were friendly.

Kindness during grieving
My family and I were there for the very sad occasion of a memorial service for my 21 year old son who died suddenly. Everyone was so kind. We were allowed to use the conference room to get together for dinner. We were given water bottles. Thank you for your kindness which made this very difficult occasion a little bit easier.

The front desk was polite and accommodating. The room was clean, but the shower soap dispenser was empty, which was frustrating when taking a shower, and not having any soap. I had to use shampoo for a body wash.
