Close to both ocean and bay beaches, this beautifully renovated home is a special setting for a Cape Cod vacation. Not only can you walk to the legendary Wellfleet Cinemas and the Cape Cod Rail Trail, you'll also be an easy drive or bike ride from Sunken Meadow Beach (less than two miles), Marconi Beach (four miles), Wellfleet town center (six miles), and several serene ponds.

Built in 1836, this home was moved to its present location on a private, sandy road sometime in the years since. Today, it's a matter of blocks from the 937-acre Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and its five miles of walking trails. It's a great location and setup for beach-goers, with beach chairs, an umbrella, and life jackets provided for your days on the shore and an outdoor shower (with hot water!) waiting to welcome you home.

This light-filled home has been renovated from top to bottom, offering such modern comforts as central AC and heat (including in the sunroom). Yet it also maintains much of its character through beamed ceilings, charming built-ins, and wide-plank wood floors. Begin each morning with an invigorating workout in the basement (offering a standing bike and rowing machine, along with a keyboard for the family musician), then head upstairs for coffee on the patio with a view of the surrounding woodlands.

In the afternoons, get the gas grill going for a barbecue, prepare your favorite side dishes in the bright, well-equipped kitchen, and gather around the dining room table for dinner. The open living space is a delight in the evenings, whether you're playing board games or streaming movies on the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The bedrooms are in one wing of the house, including one with its own exterior entrance and a desk for remote work. Additional features of the house include a loft (with another desk), complimentary WiFi, and a private laundry room.
