Nicely Furnished Home, Close to Lt. Island (1641)

Built in 1978, this contemporary style cottage looks out onto a tidal estuary in the Lieutenant Island Road area of Wellfleet. The house is bright and open and nicely furnished and well equipped. The kitchen, living room and dining area along with a bedroom with a king bed and full bath make up the main floor. On the second level an open loft has two twin beds along with a sitting area. Sliders from the living area lead to a large deck and the beautiful views of the changing tides on the salt marsh. It is a 5-10 minute drive to Wellfleet Center and the beaches at the ocean, the bay and the ponds. An administrative fee and applicable taxes may apply. Linens are not provided—guests may bring their own or rent. This property does not have air conditioning.

Nice house

The house was very nice minus the fact this was the first time I have used VRBO where linens were not included and there was an additional charge to use them from the home owner. My suggestion would be to increase the rent if you want to charge for the sheets and towels and include them. TV was in an inconvenient location. Not easily accessible for seniors to go up and down ladder like stairs. Please update and/or sharpen the knives (cutlery). A small paring knife would be nice to have as well. The knives in the drawer were useless. Couldn’t cut anything without stabbing it first. The view was amazing and the sunsets beautiful. Thank you for reading our suggestions for the future.

The deck had a wonderful view and we loved having our meals out there. Our only dissatisfaction was the poor water pressure in the outdoor shower and it would be great to have a gas grill rather than charcoal. Would definitely rent again and recommend this home.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not a great experience. The faucet on the one bathroom sink broke off. It was about 3 days at least before someone came to fix it. We had to use the kitchen sink. The repair guy (who was a nice local dude) said he "forgot" to come and repair it. A smoke alarm on the ceiling 20 ft up in the air. Was beeping for three days before someone came with a ladder. We lost two nights of sleep. There was an odor in the bedroom like a pet had soiled the carpet. The mattress was horrible. We had to drive to Hyannis to buy a topper to make it manageable. With the cost of renting so hight now, this was not worth it.
