The view from the balcony is terrific and the location is perfect for getting around between Kaiserslautern and Zweibrucken. "We had the most amazing stay here! The view was beautiful, the beds were so comfortable, and the house was equipped with everything we could ever need. Peter was a gracious host, he surprised us with welcome treats and very responsive with any questions we had. There were quite a few stairs to get the home, but don’t let it deter you. The property is situated in a quiet town that is near major attractions (crystal making & the historic town of Bitchie) and stores. You are also close to the German border. "I always come back because I know what I’m getting. it is a quiet location and a quiet hotel. However, I always prefer being away from elevators, and this time I was right opposite. Let means that there’s traffic and that people tend to sometimes forget that they can be overheard later at night. But otherwise, a good stay as usual. "

"A wonderful hotel with a view that could not be matched in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was quite warm outside. The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."
