"Clean single room at front of building some traffic noise,stay was during heatwave room was hot although a fan was provided. Should have requested a ground floor room as have some mobility issues staff were helpful and carried my case for me to room. Breakfast excellent, good choice and attentive staff as was the case when taking other meals which were also excellent Bar/lounge area comfortable again attentive staff, garden quiet and relaxing to sit in well cared for. Did not have a car but plenty of parking available"

"Nice room but bit noisy looking on high street with vehicles and drunks playing music opposite for a while - as no double glazing / sound proofing. Air conditioning unit leaked water onto table and wet belongings but managed to dry out overnight. Breakfast was okay but continental and not much choice and no ham / cheese / pastries as would be expected. Extra charge for cooked English breakfast / Eggs Royale etc at £10 was too much - we were only charged extra £3 for this at a 5 star hotel we stayed at after this…. Parking at £25 per night is way too expensive and used castle street parking for only £29 fo 2 days there."

"Great service from the staff! Stayed in the single room. Comfy bed - I just lay on top due to the heatwave. There was a fan in the room but it was loud and not very effective, this should be upgraded. Even with the windows wide open, the wind didn't really come in. It would've been a more comfortable stay if it wasn't during a heatwave. Good shower and bathroom didn't fog up. Mirror on the back of the bathroom door rather than above the sink is a bit odd but get used to it quickly. Quiet location, even on a Friday night. Didn't hear the nightclub that was a couple of streets away. Close to Canterbury East train station. I'd stay here again, hopefully in cooler weather!"
