"Great Hotel, but Disappointing Valet Experience Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Aloft. The hotel was great, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I was disappointed with how a parking issue was handled. I drive a manual transmission vehicle, and the valet attendant was unable to drive it. While I understand that valet services are provided by a third party, I believe the hotel should still advocate for its guests when those services cannot accommodate them. Rather than allowing me to park in a designated valet space near the entrance, as other hotels have done in similar situations, I was directed to park approximately a block away in the rain. The valet attendant refused to make an exception, and the front desk did not intervene. To his credit, the front desk employee did go outside and stand in an available parking space to hold it for me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that still left me having to walk to and from my vehicle in the rain. This was especially frustrating because the issue wasn’t that I refused valet service—it was that the valet service was unable to accommodate my vehicle. I genuinely enjoyed the hotel and would otherwise highly recommend it. I simply believe there should be a better solution for guests whose vehicles the valet staff cannot operate, particularly during inclement weather."
