Nice, but poor communication
The place is really nice and clean. It has beautiful views and is very relaxing. There are cows grazing on the mountain right beside the property. It is perfect for two people. The fireplace and A/C worked well. The WiFi does not work. There is a larger house and this place is an apartment/cabin over the detached garage. All trash cans are stored inside the garage for the house and cabin. Upon arriving the trash cans smelled very bad. I could smell them when I stepped outside my car and could also smell them inside the cabin. The contact number given to rental place is a 1-800 number and I'm assuming the person you're calling is in another state somewhere. I was told to wheel my trash cans to the road on Monday night and a trash service would pick them up. I was also told someone would come and wheel the remaining trash cans to the road. No one ever came and the trash was never picked up. Finally after two days I was contacted by a local rental person who came and took the trash away. She said never take the trash to the road. Two completely different answers to my same question. I spoke with them about the WiFi not working two times, but not one came to fix it. The WiFi is simply a repeater from the larger house. My AT&T cell service was great, so I didn't need it anyway. There is not firepit, but there are chairs and a washer/dryer inside the garage. Overall, it's a very nice place and worth the money. The trash issues definitely needs to be addressed.

The road were very narrow and dangerous. The room was not clean and wanting to enjoy setting and watching tv with the fireplace and tv would not work. The mattress needs to be replaced. I notified the manager about the tv and he assured he would have someone the next day and no one came. I would not use this location again.

Nice cabin, some amenities lacking
This is a small cabin with lovely views from the front deck. It was clean and nicely furnished. The surrounding neighborhood is nice. It is convenient to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Since we were in the area in January, I'd looked for a cabin with a fireplace since we knew we'd be out each day in the winter weather. The gas fireplace did not work. After 3 calls, Vacasa finally had someone out to repair it. He could not. Also the internet only worked marginally and TV reception was poor.

Upon checking in the door code didn’t work. A quick phone call and we accessed a key. Good service from phone call. We settled and kept smelling something that wasn’t right. I went to the garage and there were 5 overflowed trash cans and more trash laying on the ground. It was traveling to the house by way of air handler. Another call and someone came out to remove. They need better communication. Nice accommodations other than check in and trash.

Quiet cabin
The cabin was comfortable, and perfect for 2 people. It rained our entire trip and I wished the porch had a covering, rather than pergola slats. It would have been a perfect spot to sip coffee in the rain on a covered porch. The grill needs cleaning, we opted not to grill the burgers we brought. Having access to washer and dryer was great since our clothes were soaked from hiking in the rain each day. We had a lovely visit from some grazing cows, that was a delightful surprise. The location was secluded and very quiet. One very friendly neighbor saw us in the driveway and had a nice chat.

Great, except for the trash problem. There was garbage in the driveway for our entire trip and when we checked out and put our trash in the receptacles in the garage, it was filled with garbage. There were too many flies around the cabin, I think because of the garbage problem.

Terrible Conditions and False Advertising
During our stay, the temperatures reached 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite indicating a central heating system, the thermostat did not work. The fireplace, which was the only source of heat, stopped working after the first day and we were unable to restart it. We called the support number provided which is just a corporate number, and they said they would notify the local number and the local team would be in contact, but they didn’t contact me until the day before checkout and told me they couldn’t come out to fix the issue. We nearly froze in the cabin, it was that cold (we had to wear layers inside and wrap up in blankets to stay warm). This treatment was inhumane and despite requesting a refund, they denied it on grounds that they offered a solution and I rejected it (they offered to walk me through fixing the fireplace myself, which I said sure but was not in the unit at the time to which they said call back when I was. I called back when I was, no one responded despite leaving a message). In addition to the serious misgrievances above, the garage promised is full of junk (can’t fit your car in there), there was no garage door opener as promised, the floors were dirty, and there was only one chair at the outdoor fire pit despite showing 4 in the picture. The views were gorgeous as shown, but based on everything else, I would not recommend this place and especially would never, ever stay with a Vacasa rental again!

Had a great time did a lot of hiking and shopping in Maggie Valley and Waynesville. Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed except you might wanna bring a frying pan lol Had a few campfires at night grilled out every night. All you have to really worry about is food beverages and wood for the campfire which are local all around that you can buy there’s also a landscaping business right before you pull into the entranceway that sells wood.

Beautiful - exactly as described
This cabin is exactly as described, it’s quaint and has a beautiful view. The property managers were always available if needed. The other reviews were accurate with arriving before dark because those roads are tricky if you aren’t used to them! The only reason for a low rating with the cleanliness was because of the bugs that inhabit the cabin as well as the dishes weren’t clean. The linens looked pretty bad as well as the pillows. I’m not a nit-picky person but the grill wasn’t usable either. Other than that honestly it’s a great place.

The cabin at Tranquility Too was perfect for a three-night get-away for my wife and I. We just relaxed most of the time, enjoying the mountain views and cool weather. First time driving up to the cabin spooked my wife a little, but not enough to put a damper on a nice stay.

Perfect for my stay
I stayed for 10 nights with my dog in June. I agree with other reviews that suggest arriving before dark. The road is paved all the way to the house but the switchbacks in the dark would be challenging. The property is clean, comfortable, well laid out and they have done a good job making sure there is plenty of kitchen stuff: dishes, pots & pans, knives, blender, Keurig and drip coffee maker, salt & pepper, olive oil and more. The furniture is in good shape and they supply covers to use when you bring a dog. The elevation and the views from the porch are absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.

The location of the property was good! Not too far out but not too close to a lot. The space is small but not cramped. A great size for 2. Disappointed in the cleaning job in the bathroom. The shower curtain and liner are too small and thus 'flooding' the floor is inevitable.

I forgot to write the review. The place was very nice. The driveway is shared with another cabin. I am not sure if it is another rental or the owners. Place was very nice and quaint. We would come back again. Owner was quick with responses via text or phone call. I was having a issue with the fire only to find out the dial was right in front of my face. Dogs got to see some snow. Only odd thing was there was a lot of love bugs all around in the home dead and alive. We did not mind it at all. Good luck for our marriage maybe!

The good, the bad ad the truth
The good: The cabin was quite clean and well stocked. The view from the deck was spectacular (definitely the best part). The owner (not property manager) was very good about getting back to me. And it was in a beautiful and convenient location. The bad: The deck was misrepresented. The pictures showed the deck of the other nearby cabin also owned by the same person. The pictures showed a deck that was covered...so you could sit outside in the rain. Our deck had slats...allowing rain and bird poop to get in. I do have pictures. Also, the property manager is beyond worthless. I called her SEVERAL times both before and during our stay. She NEVER called back. Also, my sister called to inquire about the other cabin's availability....and the property manager did not call her either. I'd have her fired in a heart beat. Let me make this clear....the owner was very good about getting back to me....it was the property manager who was competely unrepsonsive. Additionally, we did not have internet for most of our 10 day stay and we couldn't get the TV working....and no instructions. (and we are fairly technologically savvy. The main lights in the kitchen were out, the only shelf in the bathroom was broken...hanging o a slant...and some other minor things in disrepair. The truth: A lovely cabin but too many things wrong/misrepresented and no feeling of being cared about during our stay.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for any problems you may have had. However, I must correct a few of your comments. The pictures are definitely from the cabin you rented. In fact, that cabin has some of the best views in the area. No, the deck does not have a covered roof, but it is not represented to have one. I apologize that you could not get the TV to work but it is working and the instructions are in the instruction book that also include the cabin procedures. Usually if the guest cannot get the TV to work it is because a previous guest changed the input. I did offer to have someone come and look at it and change the three burned out bulbs in the kitchen but you declined. The internet issue, as I explained was an AT&T problem which has now been corrected. It was unfortunate that we were at the mercy of AT&T, who could not come out until your stay was over. The bathroom shelf had been broken by a previous guest and unfortunately we could not get our handyman out prior to your arrival. Please note that we always attend to matters as soon as they are discovered or reported by our guest.

We bent over backwards to help this guest who requested we allow him to shorten his stay even though he was beyond the cancellation deadline. We did so with no penalty. I note that he doesn’t mention this in his review. We had a last minute scheduling glitch for the cleaning and had to hire an outside cleaning company. The person they sent to clean , for some unknown reason did not make the bed. That was the only thing left undone. To compensate, we did indeed refund the entire cleaning fee. Then this guy leaves a negative review. Go figure.

RELAXING BUNGALO
Everything here was as expected except that it was not as private as we were hoping for. The driveway is shared with another cabin which is opposite to this one. We were looking for for secluded. Other than that it was a nice relaxing weekend away from Covid19 scare and we saw 17 elk in Cherokee! Thanks to the owner who had quick responses to my questions!

Beautiful view! Not as secluded as I had hoped, you are surrounded by other homes, but it is a lovely place to stay. We were snowed in our first night and enjoyed every minute of it! We had a great time playing in the snow and finishing the night with games and wine by the fire. Great location with being 45 min from Asheville and The Smoky Mountian National Park in either direction.

Great cabin for a getaway. Clean, fabulous views, very fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with modern shower, king size bed, DirecTV, super responsive property manager, and internet (but creepy slow). We definitely will come back. Highly recommend. Considerations for future guests: 1. The walk from the driveway to the front door, while short, is up a rocky path. Would not recommend if a guest has mobility issues. 2. Plan to arrive at the cabin before dark. The road from the valley floor to the cabin (Tanner Trail) is paved, very steep, and has "switch backs", making the final dash up to the cabin a challenge even in daylight. 3. Good Apple GPS address: 30 Proud Merry Trail, Waynesville 4. Good Android GPS address: 100 Tanner Trail, Waynesville, and then continue upward to the end of the paved road

Wonderful family vacation!
Beautiful and well kept cabin with spectacular views of the mountain ranges. Pictures just don’t do it justice, and the ride up to the cabin was not as difficult as we were lead to believe from other reviews (gps had no issues with directing to the correct address). Location is central to anything you may want to do in western Carolina, everything was provided for and clean, we will definitely be back within the next few months.

Comfortable cabin on a mountainside with terrific views and a plethora of birds to watch. Wish I had brought binoculars. Very steep road that I wouldn’t want to tackle in snow or ice! Everything you need in the cabin. About 15 minutes away from Waynesville which is a cute town with lots of restaurant choices.

Hard to find, but tough to beat!
Lovely cabin with spectacular views. We only stayed two nights, and spent very little time at the cabin itself. However, we thought the cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. The owners provided everything one would need to enjoy a nice, relaxing vacation in the mountains. We spent our days hiking in the surrounding areas, and ate dinner at local restaurants, coming back to the cabin mainly to sleep. (Last night’s sunset from the cabin was spectacular!!) TIP: I highly suggest that travelers plan to arrive during daylight hours because this place is very difficult to find, even with the owner providing good driving directions. It would be helpful to mention that the cabin is located in “The Preserve at Jonathon Creek” because there is a big stone slab sign off of Highway 276 at the community’s entrance on Tanner Trail. When you saw the stone sign, you would know you were on the right path to get up to the cabin. Please note that Tanner Trail is a steep mountain road with several switchbacks to the cabin which make arriving at night quite challenging.

VRBO location is WRONG
I search for a location in Waynesville, NC. Map & VRBO shows the location in Waynesville, but it’s NOT. It’s in Maggie Valley. VRBO would not give me the actual address until 30 days out, I booked early & had to wait 100 days to get the property address. paid 100% up front. I feel like I was misled on purpose by VRBO as to the address. The cabin needs some TLC. The grill was filthy & unusable. As was the fire pit & bench in the yard & no firewood supplied. Torn seat in the recliner in the living room, broken light bulb in dining area. Otherwise ok, just lack of care. Nice view on the little porch. The ivy on the steps up to the cabin from driveway needs to go.

The address of this cabin is Waynesville. I don't think VRBO would have any reason to intentionally mislead anyone on the address. This property is well cared for. If the grill was dirty it was because a guest used it and did not clean it. We will definately look into this. Agreed, the guest are expected to supply their own firewood for the outside firepit. The inside fireplace is gas.

Great cabin, great neighborhood.
We had a delightful 8-day stay. The location is excellent, not too low, not too high. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. The aren't many neighbors, which is good, but the ones we met were lovely people. No one bothered us. Everything was as advertised. We will stay there again. The only problem was that the television didn't work, apparently a problem connecting to the dish, but we didn't really care.

Cozy cabin, great mountain view!
This cabin is great for a couple. Our GPS took us to the right place. The road up the mountain to the cabin is paved, but very steep in places, with blind corners. Our car has front wheel drive and we barely made it around one of the corners. It was easier going down and the second time coming up was better. A couple of those large traffic mirrors would make it much safer as you would be able to see if a car was coming from the other way. The cabin sits on one side of a shared driveway with another larger cabin. The small porch where we sat out enjoying the gorgeous view is on the far side so you don't see the other cabin when you are on the porch or in the cabin. The interior of the cabin with it's cozy all-in-one living room, kitchen and dining area was very clean with a beautiful view of the mountains from the window. The bathroom was good sized with a shower. (we always had hot water) The bedroom is spacious, the king sized bed was very comfortable, and you have that same great view of the mountains from the window in there! We ate all our meals in the cabin. There are dishes and some pots and pans, a full sized stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The grill on the porch was a little hard to regulate as the temperature gauges were broken, but our steaks turned out good! Coffee was provided which was nice. One thing I have not seen mentioned in the reviews is the walkway leading to the entrance. If you are at all mobility impaired, this might not be the place for you. There are 6 narrow rock steps leading up off the driveway, (there is a sturdy iron railing to hold on to) then about 10 steps on a flagstone walkway and then another 8 wooden steps up to the porch (there is a solid wood railing here). If you have your hands full and can't hold on to the railings you must be very careful. The cabin is in a very good location between Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Drive 10 minutes one way and you are in Waynesville. It is the bigger town with an Ingles, Publix, Walmart, Walgreens etc. There is a very nice downtown area with cute shops that you can walk along and visit. Drive 10 minutes the other way and Maggie Valley's shops, restaurants, distillery etc. are located along Hwy. 19 and you must drive between places. The cabin is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can get on it just outside of Maggie Valley and it is a beautiful, beautiful drive! We loved our time at Tranquility Too and would recommend it for a relaxing get-away!

Perfect location to see neighboring areas. Comfortable and great views of the fireflies !
Was perfect for two people and our pet . Views were great and so relaxing after a looong drive. Stayed another night to enjoy the firefly show. Have never seen fireflies and it was on my bucket list. Was able to see the synchronis fireflies in cataloochee as well, ❤️

Perfect mountain hideaway
Went for a week for our honeymoon. The cabin is perfect for two people and the views are amazing. Well worth it. We will be back!

Nice price for incredible views! Cabin is centrally located for Blue Ridge Pkwy exploration or visit to Smokey Mtn NP. Easy access off of Hwy 276. Quick ride into Waynesville for shops, food and/or groceries.
