We enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful with lots of surprises- cows, trains, views! Our stay was very short but this location will be on the top of the list next time we are in the area.
We all enjoyed the updated renovated farmhouse and property! We didn't want to leave it was all so peaceful and beautiful! We enjoyed the chicken in the penned in area, watching the beekeeper in the morning, playing laser tag at night in the huge backyard, the comfortable beds with plenty a blankets, the spacious surroundings and serene views! This is a gem of a place to stay
I can’t say good enough about this property! The owner was more than accommodating. The property was so beautiful, and all of the amenities were very accommodating. I plan for my husband and I too schedule a regular getaway to relax here!
Our group was traveling to the area for a wedding and wanted a relaxing place to stay for the weekend. This house was exactly what we were looking for! Clean, convenient, and VERY relaxing! It had everything we were looking for - outside areas, beautiful views, peace and quiet, and much more. Highly recommend this house if you are in the area - or anywhere nearby!
Great experience all around! Everything as advertised, please was beautiful, clean and had everything you could need. We will be back! Thanks for everything Michael!
My brother and I stayed here a couple of nights after Christmas with our dogs. It is very close to downtown Waynesboro, and Staunton and Charlottesville are a short drive away. As the title states this place is really cozy, and there's a big back yard for the dogs to run around. The beds are huge and comfortable, and it has all the amenities that you need. I live in Durham NC and love coming to this area - Michael is a great host, and I plan on coming back to this place on my next visit.
If you are looking for a place with a dog friendly backyard this is it. Peaceful, beautiful, comfortable home with lots of space and privacy. Very clean and cozy
This was such a great place to stay. The host was very friendly and communication was prompt. The place was plenty big for five (5) adults and a dog. This place had everything you could need in the kitchen and bathroom. Wonderful quiet location but was close enough to surrounding areas. Ten out of ten!! Definitely recommend staying here!
We rented this farmhouse to give our young adult children a place to get away and play their tabletop games for a concentrated period of time. The house had everything they needed and was a private place where they could play without worrying whether they were disturbing anyone else. They were so grateful for this place and time.
My son and I stayed here to go to Shenandoah and it was quite close! The farm is a peaceful, lovely place to stay. We enjoyed it very much! I think Sheba (my son's dog) had as much fun there as we did. She ran and ran/played and played! Convenient to the city and surrounding areas. Extremely clean and well kept. Highly Recommended!
This was a nice place! Pet friendly meant that one of us, who is allergic to dogs reacted the whole time. Also the fact that the bedroom with twins could only be accessed through another room and bathroom was not clear. The house was nice and the owner was courteous. We will not be back because of the allergies, but that is on me. First time I used Vrbo.
That one word sums it up. Our family just went on our first vacation together as adults with our pets and it was way beyond our expectations. We had the best time ever and we are already talking about when we can go back. I would recommend this place to anyone. Loved the house, the privacy, the nearby animals, and the one mile trail around the property. We had everything we could possibly need available. Do not hesitate a minute to plan your vacation here!
This was a perfect home to stay for our family gathering for Thanksgiving with our dog. Loved the fenced in areas for her. The open living area was great to have as well as the bedroom on the first floor (a necessity for one of our family members) Lovely second floor bathroom, though was connecting master bedroom with the bedroom with twin beds. A very clean and stocked kitchen with utensils, pots/pans ,coffee maker, towels etc..
Really enjoyed walking the loop around the farm. Close to town but feeling far away..loved it!
Our host, Michael, was communicative, and concerned about any needs we may have had.
I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Pros: Host provided fresh strawberries and vegetables (in season from his garden).
Fast food and shopping nearby.
Not far from the mountains (Shenandoah National Park). Not far from Charlottesville (University of Virginia). A couple of hours from Washington.
1 mile walking path around the property.
Cons: Active train track crosses the driveway- source of noise a couple of times per day.
Mixed: Highway nearby. Provides easy travel, but also near constant source of traffic noise.
I was in the area for the funeral of my brother, and also took some time for quiet reflection, soul searching, along with a little hiking. Stayed 4 days. Will hopefully be able to return when there is no funeral involved!
Our stay was WONDERFUL! Beautiful country setting, peaceful surroundings- its the perfect place to porch-sit and relax!! The hosts were so kind and helpful. I'd give this farmhouse 100 stars if i could!!
Fantastic trip. The house was perfect and the owners were amazing. Above and beyond. Would definately stay again. Cant say enough about the whole experience.
