We had the absolute best stay this last week. The property was beautiful. The home was large, well kept, clean and inviting. The host was absolutely amazing to work with and beyond kind. We enjoyed great fishing, a fire pit for s'mores, grilled multiple times on the big smoker grill and even made homemade stromboli inside for a meal. The home was very clean and had wonderful amenities. The rooms were all spacious and the beds comfortable. The living room areas were open and great for a large family. The AC worked AMAZING! It is definitely hot and humid in Georgia and it had no problem keeping up. We stayed here to give our soldier some quality private relaxing time on his family pass. The location was perfect! Close enough to base to make a quick trip back. Everyone we met in Waverly Hall were welcoming and nice. Especially everyone we met at Cooper's grocery and Cooper's general store. We found all of our food and fishing supplies quick and easy between them and the local Dollar General. I honestly can't say enough good things about our recent stay.

Beautiful Property
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. When we first arrived we were greeted by deer in the neighboring field. The exterior of the property could not be more beautiful. Hard to believe it sits just off the main highway through town. Waverly Hall was a quiet and clean community. Calloway Gardens and animal safari were all very close by. We also visited Theodore Roosevelt State Park. Beautiful part of the country. The beds were all very comfy and linens were clean and in great condition. Plenty of cleaning supplies and lots of extra paper towels and toilet paper, etc. Kitchen was well stocked. The only real negatives we had about the property was the cleanliness. Some small roaches were seen at night in the kitchen on the countertops. We cleaned for several hours after we arrived. There was no working vacuum cleaner. The carpet was the worst part. It was awful. The vinyl floors weren't clean, but they weren't near as bad as the carpet. Property manager was very quick to respond and sent someone out the following day to replace HVAC filters (which were really bad) and they were going to bring a vacuum, but we had already drove to the closest Lowes and purchased one ourselves. They offered to refund us the cost of the vacuum, but we just asked for a refund of the cleaning fee. We have not seen that refund. We left the property much cleaner than we found it. The chairs at the kitchen table need replacing, when you sit in them the center of all of them falls through. We had to place a pillow from the couch in them to be able to sit at the table and play games. All in all we enjoyed it very much. The pond and dock out back are very nice. It rained a large portion of our days so we didn't get to enjoy the outside amenities like we would have liked to. Clean better and have pest control visit routinely and you will have the perfect rental.

The house was a very nice size. We really enjoyed the outside of the property too. The inside carpet was filthy, there was spilled popcorn in the kids dresser and we seen about 10 roaches and 2 large spiders inside the home . Their was also a family portrait on the bedroom wall which was kind of weird. I felt like the people moved out to the camper on the property while we stayed their. It didnt feel like a rental it felt weird like I was staying in someones house while they weren't there. That part and the bugs I really didnt like

Definitely not what we expected!
I have prayed very hard over this review. It's not something I wanted to do. The property was absolutely beautiful! The description of the house was accurate. The cleanliness was horrible! I have a long list of things wrong and dirty. I have pictures to prove it. The house had roaches all in the kitchen at night. The carpet was cream colored and had bad stains on it. I expected to see vacuum mark's but didn't. That made us very concerned. The sheets on 2 beds were dirty, hair's, crumbs, etc. One bed was broken and shook if you rolled over banging on the wall. The furniture was dusty. There were cobb web's in the house in several areas that should have just been cleaned. The master bathroom had little warm water, we couldn't use the cold at all and it was luke warm. The light socket doesn't work in the main bathroom and we tried resetting it and checking fuse box. The den furniture was very worn, looked dirty, and pillows were flat. The chair was comfortable but was stained badly. The washing machine was so Grimmie I cleaned it inside and out before washing the linens to sleep on. The dryer was Grimmie on the outside also. I swept the kitchen upon arrival and was very surprised by all of the dirt I got up before we ever walked on the floor. The kitchen wasn't well equipped and definitely wasn't organized. It looks as if someone went to a yard sale and bought a bunch of useless stuff and scattered it. The stove was unhealthy dirty! The oven wasn't clean but looked okay compared to the stove top! The dining room chairs had no cushion in them and hard lumps of what appeared to be worn out. The table was on wheels and continuously separated in the middle where I assume a leaf extension would go. It wouldn't lock in so as you are eating you have to be very still or keep putting it back together. The two TV's were out dated and the color was horrible. One was supposed to be a Roku smart tv but wouldn't work with their directions, the Roku, or hard wired cable. We used the VCR and watched outdated movies they had, Grumpy old Men was the best they had to offer. That was the tv in the study. The den tv we were able to watch the Ga Championship game on but the color was horrible and tv was a 32 inch. We wanted to vacuum and mop because we had an 8 month old who wants to play on the floor but couldn't find a mop or vacuum. The house is over cluttered with pictures and stuff to dust making it obvious when it's not clean! So much more....

Far Away but Close Enough
This property was perfect for us. Our family was looking for somewhere to get away from our busy life but still be close enough to have some fun if we wanted to. Being within 20-30 minutes from Callaway Gardens, FDR State Park & the Wild Life Safari was definitely a perk, but having a private pond in your back yard with a paddle boat and swing overlooking the pond made us hate to leave but love returning after an adventurous day. The home also has a fabulous library. You could easily just stay at the property and be content.

Pleasant and relaxing
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quite, clean and well kept property to enjoy several Amenities, including fishing or just sitting by the fire pit in the evenings. The house is was nice and clean we will return to stay here again.
