Stunning Log Home on Private Lake- Country at its best

  • Beautiful Tri level log home situated on several private acres with its own non motorized lake. Well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with electric fireplace, loft area great for kids play, laundry room, 3 bedrooms( King, Queen, 2 twin beds and futon), 2 full baths, Large bar and gathering area with walkout patio, great for grilling. Spacious wrap around porch with plenty of seating. Huge well manicured lawn offers beautiful views of the water and surrounding hills. If you like privacy this is the place for you. Ideal family get away or perfect honeymoon spot. Great place for children, lots of lawn to run around on, many activities provided. There are no pets, parties or smoking allowed. We also have a minimum rental age of 30 for the primary renter. For security reasons there are cameras viewing the entrance doors.

Best properties so amazing, and Maureen the host is so easy to communicate with and if there is an issue, which is very seldom, she is there to fix it immediately. This has been our forth stay on this property, and we will come back for many years to come. There is something to do for everyone without even having to leave the property. Everything is spotless when you walk in the beds are very comfy, the kitchen is very well stocked, and the whole atmosphere makes you wish you could stay forever.

Fabulous Getaway

This was my 4th or 5th stay at Ray's Rustic Retreat and it is a great property. The property is gorgeous! It is very quiet, clean and spacious. The property owner is great and is very accommodating. Perfect for a family getaway or a girls weekend!

Ray's Retreat is just that. A beautiful setting to enjoy all that Central New York has to offer. If you are hiking, antiquing, visiting the local college campuses or just "retreating," this is the place.

Early Mother's Day

My husband and I and our 2 grown sons and their wives spent a long weekend here and even though the weather wasn't the best our visit together was great. We all had enough space and did get to do some of the outside things. The place is so comfortable and clean and had all of the cooking stuff we needed for the 6 of us to be together or doing our own things.

Another Perfect Experience

We stayed here in the past and the experience was just as perfect as last time. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. We love coming here every year and it just feels like coming home. But each time we visit there's a different experience - like baby geese one time, beautiful sunsets another, this year the lunar eclipse which we could see clearly from the porch. It's a great place to call our second home.

We were a family of 7 traveling with a baby. Maureen and Jim provided us with great accommodations!Their place had everything we needed to relax with family. Relaxation and Serenity.

For those looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway this is the place to be. The cabin was well-stocked and very clean. The property is large with plenty of space to roam around or take a stroll. Most of all, staying here is a lot of fun due to the tons of games and activities available both inside and out. Nighttime offers some magnificent star-gazing opportunities as well as a firepit by the lake. To sum up this is a great place to create new joyful memories with family and friends.

Ray’s Rustic Retreat is absolutely gorgeous! It was everything that our family needed… it had so many activities to do at every age level. The fishing however took first place with our family as an activity. Maureen was very responsive to our emails and was very helpful before and during our stay. We stayed at this LOVELY property more than two years ago while visiting our son at school. At that time, the home was absolutely spotless and well-appointed and the property was beautiful. We are four long time friends that found this Retreat through my daughter-in-law. This is our 2nd and we live it. Everything you could need is provided. We kayak, eat lots, play games on the wrap around porch, but there is so much more to do. You really need to stay here and see for yourself. here.

Secluded Piece of Paradise

This house is exactly what we were looking for. Somewhere we could enjoy the wilderness, have coffee on the deck overlooking the land/pond and get away. The driveway was a bit funny the first time getting to the house, but we were given great instructions prior to arriving that helped tremendously. The communication with the owners was quick and they were willing to help no matter the issue (not that there were any). Overall if you are looking for a beautiful house with amazing views that had plenty to do, but also only 25 minutes from Turning Stone area, this is for you.

Lodging for nephew's wedding

We will looking for a fun and comfortable spot for our family (couple with adult children and partners) while we attended events for a family wedding in Utica. It was an easy scenic drive to Utica. The rustic retreat was clean, lovely and well-equipped for fun. During our quiet times, we were able to play their Kan Jam in their large yard. Kitchen was well-stocked and even had an electric griddle for pancakes. The beds were also comfortable after some long days. It was perfect for us. Thank you.

Amazing Property!!!!

I was in town for my 45th high school reunion. This is our second time renting this property, and we will be back in the fall. Maureen is a great host. I have never been to a VRBO that was so heavily stocked with starter goods, like spices, laundry, cleaning products, paper goods etc. The grounds are immaculate, the cabin is immaculate, and the deer and the geese come every day. We can’t wait for our time in the fall. I highly recommend this property.

Vacation Paradise

We have been staying at Ray’s Rustic Retreat for several years and can’t say enough good things about this home! The minute you drive through the gates and see this stunning property you realize you are somewhere very special. The cabin is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and lacking nothing for an enjoyable stay. The furniture and beds are very comfortable, something you don’t always find in a rental! The property is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. You can just sit on the porch and take in the gorgeous view of the pond and rolling hills beyond or you can enjoy the great fishing, the water toys or the many games and activities provided by the hosts. Speaking of the hosts, Maureen and Jim go above and beyond to make certain you have a wonderful stay at Ray’s.
