Excellent breakfast. Be prepared to converse with the proprietor and other guests while you eat. Very nice rooms. Waterloo is a great location.

Steph was a great host and her breakfasts were amazing. Very laid back and comfortable atmosphere and we appreciated the conversation with Steph during breakfast. We were in the area to see Mama Mia at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, so it was a short stay for us. However, the Finger Lakes Region is great area with plenty to do during seasonal times Thank you Steph for a great stay!

Charming house, friendly owner, great breakfast!

Charmingingly decorated, renovated home was very comfortable with something interesting to look at in every room!(shower was fantastic!). Our breakfast was wonderful and conversation with the owner was stimulating and inviting! Very clean with everything we needed.

Friendly owner and staff who put a lot of time and attention into this BnB. Near Seneca Falls. Waterloo in nearby but does not have the panache, but staying overnight was great.

A Comfortable Hidden Treasure.

I grew up in Waterloo and returned after many years for a family member's funeral. I found the Gridly to be welcoming and very comfortable. Steph and Madison were fantastic hosts, and the breakfasts were incredible. Where I will stay when I go back and I highly recommend to others traveling in the Finger Lakes region.

Nice B&B

Great B&B located nicely near Seneca Lake in the finger lakes region. The couple that owns and runs the location are wonderful and charming. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable and bathrooms updated. The breakfast every morning is delicious. Free parking out front or behind the house. Definitely worth the visit! And will bring friends next time.

Relaxing Home

After a day's sight-seeing, we appreciated the home-like atmosphere of The Gridley. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Madison's breakfast quiche and sweet cake were delicious! The conversations between guests and hosts were engaging, and made the visit complete. We will definitely return!

Beautiful home. Excellent breakfasts. They do not permit eating in the bedrooms, which is okay by me. They have a 2 hour check in time and they are grumpy about people not calling ahead for a late check in - again, okay by me. They really encourage people to socialize at breakfast.

We appreciated the air condition after a very hot and muggy day. Parking on the street is the only option due to slight construction work being done by the owner. Roz was kind and gracious to us when we arrived.

Ten Plus

This is a beautiful heritage home in the town of Waterloo, New York. It is a very short walk to downtown. We arrived early but we were welcomed and able to move to our room. Parking is available. The Statesman room was very comfortable. We also met a young resident artist, Catherine who also works at the Inn. A very comfortable front porch and living room. Breakfast was fresh and home made. The Star Restaurant was recommended and we were very impressed with both the service and our meal.

You will have an excellent stay if you are well versed on the extensive list of rules. Owner has very high expectations for guest behavior. A beautiful property, immaculately maintained with a rich history; owners emphasize the preservation of the property over the comfort of the guests; guests are treated as inconveniences in historic residence. Abundance of love notes sprinkled generously around property to encourage ideal guest behavior. Owner is prideful and unsympathetic to guest accommodations.
