"A little slice of heaven, next door to the Promised Land. We were in the area to visit Pa. State Parks and stayed here two nights. My wife found Rex Hotel online and she really relies on the reviews of past guests. With this receiving so many positive ratings we went for it. The no contact check-in and out was new for us, but no issues arose at all. In fact, everything went so smoothly it would be nice if others used this method. As far as Rex calling this a hotel, it is more of a motel, but on a luxury scale. I felt like we were staying in an upscale country resort. Our room was #5 and upon arrival, everything was very clean. Even though we never met the owners or anyone for that matter on site, we never felt isolated. We would receive text messages occasionally reminding us it was time to start a fire in our very own outdoor fire ring, using the free fire wood, matches and starter. I have stayed in some pretty fancy hotels all over the country, but the temperature control in this room is the best. We were able to keep the room at the perfect temperature without having to constantly change it. I don't know if I'll get back to this part of Pa. again, but if I do we will be staying here at The Rex Hotel. "

"The home was very nice and has a lot to offer for a large family or group.This home is a true four season home and can be enjoyed any time of the year.We went for relaxation and family time.The kitchen table and island are plenty big for playing games, building puzzles and having a nice spread of food.The bedrooms are ample and the beds were quite comfortable.The game room was large and comfortable with seating, multiple games, a television and fireplace.The property surrounding the home is beautiful.I imagine in warmer weather, spending time outside would be glorious.We had very clear, crisp nights and the star gazing was extraordinary.The directions that the owners give are spot on and the link to their guidebook was a great tool. We had no issues with Wifi which was nice.The owners, especially Amy, were super easy to contact and answered questions quickly.There was plenty of communication before and during our stay via email.There are signs throughout the home reminding you of the do’s and don’t of the home.The kitchen has all of your necessities for cooking.There are trash bags and kitchen soap provided.Note that you are responsible to remove your trash before vacating and dumping it at the provided nearby receptacle.The bathrooms include toilet paper and hand soap.The owners provide separate towels for the hot tub and for the bathrooms.There are two sets of washer/dryer to use, which was helpful during our stay. We had a group of 9. Thanks for sharing your home with us!"

"We rented this property for our annual holiday get together. Having two houses for such a big group was fantastic!The owners made the booking and the check-in process very easy. They were always very responsive and accommodating. I've rented a number of properties and their process was the most streamlined and efficient. They provided ample information about the property and the surrounding area.There were 6 families and there was ample space for everyone. The kids took advantage of the game room in the basement as well as the spacious grounds. Even though there was snow on the ground, they still made use of the playground.With such a large group, having two kitchens was so helpful! The two houses are just a short walk from each other so it wasn't a hassle at all. The houses were both clean and well stocked. We definitely want to come back during warmer weather!"

"Be careful not to miss it on the road - that said, once you turn in from 390, the place is unassuming but highly hospitable. The room we stayed in met all our needs - including a kitchen nook equipped with cooking needs and plates and silverware. We were in the midst of 90-degree days, but the air conditioning worked just fine. There were ample clean towels provided and the owner/proprietor was very eager to assure a smooth check in and that all our needs were met. We would definitely stay here again."
