The hotel is close to the metro and walkable to monuments (1 to 3miles for most)if preferable. Uber n taxis easy to get. Breakfast buffet had hot n cold choices, enough to satisfy most tastes. Bed was comfortable n room was quiet. I would use them again if in the area.

Hotel Nell - Union Market
I stayed at Hotel Nell while I was in town for a conference. The room was excellent, had everything I wanted! The staff were awesome to interact with. Two problems for me - First the street noise was problematic! The hotel is located on a very busy street and there is a lot of traffic on this street ...

Gateway Hotel
This is not a deluxe hotel. It is quite run down. Stairs are in need of attention. Some of the bathroom towels should be retired. Price was cheapest in DC area.
