The hotel is located right on a tram line, which made getting around Bern very easy, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The property was also clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated.
A few practical notes for future guests: we didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on it. Food and drinks at the hotel are quite expensive, which is typical for Switzerland but still worth planning for. The bar area is pleasant for a short stop, though somewhat limited in selection and atmosphere. Room size may be a consideration for families—while functional, the configurations (either a queen with a sofa bed or two twins with a sofa bed) felt a bit tight for four people.
One disappointment was a restaurant recommendation from the concierge. It was presented as a classic Swiss experience, but turned out to be both overpriced and underwhelming—the biggest letdown of our time in Bern. It’s worth doing a bit of independent research before committing to dining suggestions.
