Good location in Wanaka

Te Wanaka Lodge is in a nice location (short walk to beach, shopping, restaurants). It has adequate parking, and the wifi worked. Breakfast was good.

Adequate parking when the adjacent lot is included. Arrival check-in was confusing with limited parking around reception. Variety of breakfast options and access to hot tub were a plus. The biggest drawback was the lack of outdoor lighting. Steps at the front of property are challenging to navigate at night. Excellent location for nearby dining and shops. Large room with nice amenities.

Friendly hosts. Modest rooms but do not book if the breakfast is a selling feature for you. Bad coffee, undercooked bacon, white toast and canned fruit - felt like stepping back in time to the 80s when we didn’t know what a good breakfast could be. With so many good options near by for eating, focus on doing one thing well (good coffee!) and let that kitchen be for guest use instead.

Great location but property felt run down. Lots of creaks and groans from people walking upstairs. Pillows were hard, rooms very hot with no fans, a bit of bugs in bathroom lights. Kind of noisy from local bars and traffic.

Friendly central motel

Lovely motel in the centre of Wanaka. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice outdoor areas and hot tub. Has own parking. Would stay again.

The room was clean and comfortable. However not having tea making facilities and having to go down to the dining room to make cup of tea was inconvenient. For what we got it was way overpriced. Maybe at a push $150.. per night not $212.00. I guess these are Wanaka prices!!!!

Great place to stay in Wanaka. Our room was warm and cosy and the common lounge was an excellent place to relax. There are so many great cafes, restaurants and food trucks within walking distance. Staff were super friendly and made us feel at home.
