Waena Inn offers a comfortable and authentic Maui lodging experience in the historic town of Wailuku. Our property features private studio-style suites, each thoughtfully designed for simplicity, convenience, and value. With units approximately 300 sq. ft., guests may choose between ground-level rooms with 9 ft. ceilings or upstairs rooms with 12 ft. ceilings for an open and airy feel. ADA-accessible units and additional bedding options are available to accommodate a variety of travel needs.

What makes Waena Inn special is its central location and local character. Just 8–12 minutes from OGG Kahului Airport and 5–10 minutes from Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kaiser, and other medical facilities, our inn is especially appreciated by traveling nurses, visiting families, business guests, and travelers who want easy access to explore the island. The booking and check in went smoothly. The price was a bit high for these accommodations. Charged an additional fee for cleaning the room but required that we remove the garbage.

Great experience

Fit my family of 6 comfortably. Has everything you need for cooking (just not baking). Hosts are incredibly kind and hard-working--loved them. Fantastic location as it is close to big discount grocery stores. Surprisingly, all roads seem to require going through this area before getting to other parts of the island. Would be a great location to get to places quickly. The roads on the north-east, south-east, and north-west are all very time consuming and not a relaxing drive (1 lane roads, tight corners, unseeable roads plus rain and falling rocks). Appreciated this VRBO.

Not part of some national conglomeration- this is Tonys place and he was there, friendly, and personally made sure everything was good and we had everything we needed. Refreshing- support the little and or local guys
