Reviewer Comments:
Communications had been good, and we were expecting a good solid experience, but as we opened the door, a very musty smell hit us. Perhaps the carpets were shampoo'ed and left closed in after? It went away in 2-3 days. No problem. I went to bath, and noted no bar of soap or equivalent. I texted my Hawaii contact person, and she said that we were to have brought our own from the Mainland. I was gob smacked. Of course there was no shampoo either. On the last night the air conditioner conked out and we had 76 degrees in the apartment to try to sleep. I texted her a picture of the Thermostat, she said she did not have anything she could do. Needless to say, compensation for a night that could not be spent sleeping was NOT offered. Lastly, I forgot my bathing suit. Isn't that always how life goes? So the contact told me I could drive back to the Hawaii life office between certain hours to get it. And it was very kind of her to take it there. So I drove two hours to get the suit, and don't you know it, she had not checked and the office was actually closed. So there went our afternoon, wasted. Now before you say I am the worlds worst complainer, I agree that is was a lovely apartment in many ways! These are across from the Queens shops and we'd been in a similar one before. But the Hawaii life hosting part of the experience needs an upgrade.
