"What a cool experience. I stayed in their "Greece House" before their actual opening. It is airy, bright and the art is unique. It felt like I was staying in someone's home. I spent two nights there. April is a great time to be there; warm days and cool nights. The first day, I just explored the grounds. Some of the property is still, "wild." There are all of these old terraces and stone walls. Some of them have stairs to get to the next level. It's all kind of felt medieval. The second day I drove to Santar (Dão) and toured the gardens and tasted some great wines. The home had everything I needed. The kitchen is well-stocked and I'm addicted to the little cinnamon cake they put in my welcome basket. The bathroom is clean and I love the scent of their toiletries from Azzaro."

"We had the most wonderful stay here for 3 days over easter. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, every part of it is carefully thought out. The decor is gorgeous, rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings and it is immaculately clean. The grounds are stunning, service and staff exceptional, i cannot think of one negative thing about our stay. Breakfast was also excellent and dinner in the restaurant the same with very reasonable pricing too for a 5 star hotel. A couple of minutes walk away are a couple of pleasant local restaurants and if you have a car, lots of hikes nearby. We loved every minute of our stay and would return in a heartbeat. "

"Puro Dao is one of my best hotel and spa experiences. To start with the location; It is located in the outskirts of a charming village in the countryside. There is a station 2 minutes away so you don’t need a car to get there. Once you inside you fell relaxed and very welcome by the lovely staff. Everything is perfect from the different climate smart light to the materials and over to the furnitures and interior design. The Spa is amazing and so is the outdoor pool in the garden. The nature surrounding the village is great for hiking and there is different hiking trails. After the hike I recommend a treatment in the spa, I got a hot stone massage which was heaven. Finally, don’t miss the great local wines and food in the restaurant, or the breakfast. "

"Breakfast was pretty average and rooms very nice and clean. Staff was very quiet - could have been a bit more welcoming but we had limited interaction so not a huge deal."
