Top Vouzela Hotel Reviews

Curia Palace Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Nice place to stay"

Pousada de Viseu

10/10 Excellent

"All round excellence. Perfectly placed to explore the region. Superb hotel. The architecture of the place (and the scale) just blew us away. Trip type - Holiday Travel group - Couple Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Nearby activities: Plenty to see & do in town, and the hotel is centrally placed for drives in the beautiful coutryside (although Viseu's string of roundabouts to get to the main IC can get a bit tiresome) Safety: Our experience of everyone we have met has been great. In general, people are very kind & friendly, welcoming to strangers, with very helpful gestures - smiles and great consideration for us & our poor Portugese language skills! Walkability: Uneven cobbled pavements need more care. All we wanted to do was nearby however, and the weather [October] was absolutely perfect - slippy cobbles could be another story. Food and drinks: Fantastic local traditional food, pastries, coffee & fine wines from the region - we have enjoyed exploring regional cuisine very much. Noteworthy details The lovely lady on night reception was an absolute font of knowledge of things to do in and around Viseu - really made our visit magical. Obrigado! The parking at the hotel was reasonable and secure. Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Great value"

Montebelo Viseu Congress Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"Rooms were excellent and spacious. Very clean, smart TV, and tea and coffee available. No beer in the mini bar though? Amenities all looked good, made us wear swimming caps to just go in the pool? Breakfast wasn’t great - limited choices and very busy. All in all a good stay and the rooms are great!"

Tiny Escape

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at this eco-friendly resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The owners, Matt, Wesley, and Patrick, are attentive, generous, friendly and professional. They truly go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was their extensive knowledge of the region. If you're looking for activities, hidden gems, or great restaurants, don't hesitate to ask for recommendations. You won't be disappointed! The property itself is stunning, with beautiful hiking trails accessible directly on-site and several picturesque ponds scattered throughout the landscape. The natural setting is peaceful and inspiring, offering breathtaking views at both sunrise and sunset. The breakfast basket was filled with delicious, fresh, locally sourced products, and the daily fresh bread was simply outstanding. We also loved the opportunity to pick our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs to prepare meals. What a unique and rewarding experience! The tiny house was exceptionally comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and the kitchen is well stocked. The bio-pool is beautiful and impeccably maintained and even enjoyable in the evening. Nestled in the heart of nature yet conveniently close to the city, this is the perfect destination to recharge, explore, hike and discover this wonderful region of Portugal! Thank you Matt, Wesley and Patrick!"

MS Collection Arouca Mosteiro de Arouca

10/10 Excellent

"This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is delicious, lots of choice and everything high quality. Room service food was great, the food in the restaurant really delicious. All of that aside though, what really makes this hotel special is the staff. We had brilliant service from the second we checked in to the moment we checked out. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the service felt personal and attentive. We had hired an electric car, charging it was no trouble and in fact the receptionist offered to take our keys, charged the car overnight and parked the car back in the car park. We were lucky enough to be able to have a late check-out too - again this was no trouble and the team were happy to accommodate us. Don’t miss the club room - a lovely space to relax with a book (there are plenty), watch tv and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea and slice of cake. I’m hoping MS Collection expands their luxury hotels elsewhere so we can explore more places while staying in luxury!"
