Welcome to Breathe Easy!

Breathe Easy is a chic log cabin offering rustic elegance with a designer flair in a wonderful mountaintop setting. The home has impressive long-range views including a straight-on view of the famous Grandfather Mountain. Unlike many mountain homes, Breathe Easy has a relaxed, flat yard area around the home with easy parking and turnaround. The home is built with reclaimed barn wood and has fine woodwork, leather furniture, interesting antiques, and designer finishes. The outdoor space features a walkout fire pit and a comfortable sitting area in the front yard with a rocking chair front porch.

Breathe Easy is located just minutes from the famous Mast General Store in scenic Valle Crucis and the Valle Crucis Community Riverfront Park. The home is about 10 minutes from Boone. Close by attractions includes Tweetsie Railroad theme park, Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain Ski Area, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawks Nest Zip Line and Snow Tubing, High Gravity Adventures Climbing Park, Wahoo's Whitewater Rafting, and much more.

Breathe Easy is accessed by a steep paved driveway. It is plowed in the wintertime. As with all our homes, 4WD and tire chains are necessary for Winter access to this property. In Summer, the home is accessible with 2WD, but guests should be prepared for a steep climb.

Great location and good mountain view

The cabin was very cozy, clean, and in a great spot for mountain relaxing. We enjoyed how close to downtown it was. I would highly recommend staying here. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure everything was OK.

Wonderful stay in the mountains

We really enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. The views were amazing. We made a camp fire and enjoyed the outdoor play area for our kids. Would definitely come again!

Great getaway location

Terrific place for a family getaway. Outdoor play area and basement games were a huge hit with the kids (5 and 8). Peaceful location close to hiking and a few charming towns.It's worth noting that the upstairs bedroom isn't completely closed off from the downstairs living area, so we upgraded the kids to the master bedroom to help bedtime go smoothly.Definitely would stay again!

The cabin was everything we could have hoped for. The setting is absolutely stunning and there was so much for our kids to enjoy both outside and in. We have stayed many places and this is by far our favorite stay ever.

Perfect Family Getaway

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Breath Easy! The cabin is truly perfect, we have 3 young boys, and they had the best time, and I am sure it is a vacation they will remember forever. Every detail is thought out, and the owner is so kind. The location of the cabin is also really nice, with only being a short drive to town. We hope to be back one day!

Perfect getaway

Our family loved this little gem of a cabin! The views are amazing and in a great location to get around the area. The kids particularly loved the tree house and the ping pong table. We didn't feel like we had to schedule many activities because just being at the cabin was enough to keep them busy. We'll be back!

Breathe just a little Easier

A perfect fall trip. We wanted to visit Western NC and contribute a little something after the storms. Town of Boone and Blowing Rock were our most frequent destinations and easy to get to from our cabin. Owners were awesome and Cabin was just incredible. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place

Perfect cozy with great view

It was a perfect cozy cabin with a great view of grandfather mountains. Very steep driveway to get to cabin since it’s on top of its own “hill” my little car did great… however if you are there during winter months the driveway could get tricky. Quiet area and perfect neighbors.

Time to Breath Easy

Exactly what we needed. Time to disconnect from the world and reconnect as a family. So peaceful to sit and listen to nature. Watched the fog roll through the valley. Home is very comfortable and has everything you could need. Beds are very comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend and plan to come back.

Perfect trip!

Kids loved their first trip to the mountains. Perfect space for 2 kids and parents with all the games and outdoor fun you could ever need. Basement air hockey and foosball has been a topic of conversation since we left!

great place to unplug and refresh

This was a secluded awesome cabin with few distractions that allowed us to turn down the noise and speed of our lives. It was an ideal setting to rest and renew. We were close enough to Boone, NC to have great options for activities, far enough away to disconnect.The host were awesome. It was an overall great experience.

Perfect cabin

We had an amazing time staying here! They boys loved the playground and various games downstairs. The view of Grandfather Mountain was perfect, especially during sunset. Great location. Russell and Christy were very accommodating especially since a storm hit the morning of our check out. They were more than helpful and very easy to get a hold of. Definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Best cabin we've ever rented!

Amazing home and location! It was SO quiet and peaceful. We were in town picking our oldest up from camp then stayed a few days and absolutely loved our time there! Fire pit was perfect, the kids spent all their time between the swings and the games downstairs, no one was ever bored! The owners are amazing and have put so much love and thought into making this the perfect getaway. And the VIEW is incredible! We will definitely be back sometime!! Thank you for an amazing week!

Best Mountain Getaway Experience Ever

If we could give this an extra star we would. We are frequent travelers to the mountains of North Carolina and this is by far the best rental experience we have had. The cabin is beautifully decorated and cozy, the view is stunning, and the location is amazing. Additionally, the owners treat their guests as if they were friends or family. Fantastic place

This place is a great place to stay. The house is nestled on top of a mountain with a great view of neighboring Grandfather Mountain. All the appliances are new and everything was super clean and laid out well and loved that everything was labeled to help figure out whats what. The hosts are nice as they live on the same driveway and are very welcoming and accommodating if you need something. Its super close to Boone via a 10 minute drive and Blowing Rock via a 20 minute drive. We will definitely return to this wonderful place
