"Good location in quiet area within short walking distance of beaches. Relaxing and upscale decor with tasteful touches throughout. Comprehensive buffet breakfast in lovely dining room. Our suite was well appointed with private garden patio area; no bedside lamps available and precarious and dangerous small step down from room to patio. Staff interactions were what you’d expect from an hotel at this level - very good."

"Let’s start with something positive, which is that the restaurant staff is very very kind and they try to do their best to make up for the deficiencies of other departments. I trace A LOT and sty in many different hotels. This one is 2-stars at best. Housekeeping is minimal and they take less than 5mins for the entire apartment (superficial cleaning). All of the facilities feel very cheap and outdated. Hair dryer wasn’t working and the AC smells like in an old motel. Wifi reception is horrendous, there are no amenities like shower gels etc. The pool area seem neglected and not well taken care of. There also seem to be water damage in some of the hallways, since the paint is peeling off of the walls. Breakfast selection is the same everyday and both fruit and meat selection are everything but appealing (think of pineapple from the can a pink looking rubber that is supposed to be bacon I guess). I feel sorry for the waitresses for saying this but stay away from this place! I would probs lay shut it down fo a year or year and a half, remodel it completely and than start again from scratch. Otherwise, it’s only going to progress to worse"

"Amazing location with private access to the beach boardwalk, quiet and peaceful location and well equipped apartment. We loved the serenity while being close to the beach, and with a Pingo de Doce and Aldi grocery stores a quick drive. Also appreciated the honour library, we loved it, would definitely come back."

"I tried to cancel this stay after a close friend's death. I reached out to you to try to retrieve my money or to at least get a credit so I could visit Portugal and stay at the Villa Marquez a week or so later. You responded that you had tried to reach them but they refused. I do not understand why you are now asking me for my review of the stay. You are already informed that I was unable to visit. You are also informed that I wished to postpone my stay at the Villa Marquez. You are informed that they had refused.
