"Lovely hotel with beautiful view of the sunset every night. Only downside is that its a little bit away from the markets and centre of town, but tuk tuks / taxi's easy and cheap enough to get there. "
"My room was clean and spacious and everything was in good repair. Nice pool, which almost no one used during my stay. The only real drawback as that the breakfast buffet (included) is mediocre. Food was not kept warm. Coffee (which is good in Laos) was Nescafe instant with no milk or cream provided, just sugar. They tend to run out of food. "
"Excellent hotel, used to be in a quiet corner a decade ago, now in the heart of the new shopping malls, but also restaurants and cocktail bars around. Still one of the most charming hotels in Vientiane, a oasis of calm with great staff and good food."
"We stayed at Vientienne overnight to transfer from Laos to Vietnam and choose to stay here. The hotel is brand new and the attention to the details of the staff, their helpfullness and kindness was distinguishing. Spa, pool and rooftop bar was a bonus with a nice view of the monument. They also have a more resort style hotel called Souphattra Heritage, this one looked more like for business travelers which we loved to enjoy the quietness over the weekend."

The city is safe than many cities in the world, food is unique. It was our first visit to a socialist country. You may not find any global restaurant chains here but if you are open for discovery you will enjoy not being part of the tourist crowds.

Thus tiny town was out and about for Laos New Year's. Throwing water at anyone passing by. Then at nighttime was a big concert till 4am. Loveliest Buddhist temples per capita in the world.

It's a Chill/laid back city with charm. Friendly people, great culture, and provides you with just enough to do. It's not grand but it doesn't need to be because that's part of its charm.

Public transport isn't too reliable but is easy to find your way around. Really helped to have the shuttle service to and from the hotel otherwise we would have struggled.

Many roadwork right now. Slowly but surely this city is putting the efforts to upgrade the infrastructures to a country capital city

Lovely area to visit, not as 'back packer' as others. Very cheap, good food, safe and family-friendly
"Stayed here to spend a night during a long layover. Not the most exciting location, but the hotwl was new, clean, and safe. The staff was professional and kind. "
