Excellent stay in the heart of Vientiane

This is a very good hotel - clean, and excellently located right in the heart of the Vientiane. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Be sure to visit the rooftop bar for a pleasant experience with beautiful views of Vientiane.

I stayed here 3 weeks, and overall experience had been exceptional. The room was clean, and there was a variety of breakfast options. The staff were courteous, friendly, and accommodating to our requests. I highly recommend this hotel as it’s a quick walk to the Night Market and a few blocks from the Night Food Market.

Cute hotel from which you can walk to the river and the night market. Many temples and monuments close by too. Breakfast was good. There is a roof top bar which will be noisy if you get a room on the 9th floor ( roof top is on 10th). When they close, they move the furniture around...

If you like rollercoaster rides, you’ll love their shower. One minute it gives you burning hot water then it turns to solid cold shower. It happens every few min. Inside the shower was rusty and mouldy. Front desk ladies and the lady manager need to learn hospitality attitude and services from their serving staff. Servers from bartenders and breakfast people were very nice except those rude cold ladies at front, especially the middle aged manager. When I asked for a late check out, one lady wanted to charge me. I then asked another gentleman later again who allowed me to stay a little longer.

It served its purpose and the heart of Vientiane. Don’t drink the water. Don’t add ice to your drink! Of the three days I was there, I was sick 1 1/2. I kept asking them for toilet paper and they bring me one roll at a time. With vomiting and explosive diarrhea it was just annoying to have to call them every few hours for toilet paper. I told them I was sick. They had a restaurant at the bar, but not one really for lunch. But they also didn’t offer room service. I had to convince them to bring me my food to me. It stated there was a minibar, but there was no minibar. These are all minor issues. The room was fabulous.

At check in, front desk lady requires CASH deposit of 30USD. When I only had 20 dollar bills, she just kept 40 because she didn’t want to give me a change. She then asked me some questions that made me assume this hotel is often used for “funny” business with some unwanted overnight guests. Of course someone like me with a US passport, a solo female Traveller who is obviously married, who looks more Asian than American couldn’t possibly be booking an “executive”room all to herself. Good start. AC worked like a champ. Sloppy housekeeping. Breakfast had limited selections but they will make eggs if you ask. Bar upstairs is very nice but can get loud. I would not stay in their suite which is on the same level as their popular bar (I made that mistake in my previous trip in a similar hotel setting). When I first saw the tv listing inside the remote box (shown) was very nice except the info was incorrect. To me, their view of “service” is “what can we get away with” rather than “how can we better serve our customers.”
