Our apartments range from 1 double-bedroom to 2 double-bedrooms and a sofa bed in living room allow our apartments to accommodate 4 or 6 people. This property offers self-catering accommodation with full basic kitchen amenities for preparing and enjoying your own meals in the apartments before going out or after a long day of exploring. Wifi is provided for free in the apartments and airport shuttle service can be arranged.

The picturesque first district makes up the historical heart of Vienna, where the magnificent Ringstraße, historical architecture, government buildings, touristic enterprises and large company headquarters come together to make the first district not only the touristic, but also the economic centre of the city. As the oldest of Vienna’s districts, dating back to the Roman ages, it has found a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The grand pedestrian shopping streets Graben and Kärntner Straße join at the central St. Stephen’s Square (Stephansplatz), where locals and tourists alike come together to enjoy the historic sights, browse through one of the many fashion stores, relish in a traditional Melange and Sacher cake in one of the famous Viennese coffee houses, or just stroll through the winding side streets and take in the Viennese atmosphere.
Right at the foot of the building, you will find various great dining options, such as one of the great Italian restaurants in town Da Capo, a traditional Viennese kitchen with a light twist Weibel’s Wirthaus, and the many other popular restaurants such as Figl Mueller, Lugeck, Demel Cafe or Cafe Hawelka, nevertheless new establishments like Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Italian restaurant. If you are not topping off the evening with a delicious cocktail or Spritzer while overlooking Vienna’s rooftops and the stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral at the elegant Sky Bar or Do & Co Hotel Bar, you could also retreat to the First American Bar just at the corner of Kumpfgasse for a drink or two.
Tucked in a quiet yet very central street in the first district of Vienna, our `Kumpfgasse` properties capture a rather special atmosphere. Through a small stair, and a side street you will be able to reach the lovely hidden inner courtyard of Peace museum, which is also located just a corner away from the Mozart’s house. The apartment is located right between the St. Stephen’s cathedral church square and the City part (Stadtpark). A unique location to discover the city and all its hidden side streets on foot. It was a cozy apartment. Please note there is no dryer. The furniture needed updating and it could use a little sprucing up. However, for what we needed it for, it was good for us. The host was VERY responsive and the location was ideal. The size and location of the apartment was perfect for my husband and me. It was a quiet building for being close to everything so we were grateful for that after long days of venturing.
Stayed one week in this very spacious, well equipped apartment. Extremely quiet on a side street with essentially no vehicle traffic, but within easy walkable distance to all the major museums and art galleries, other than Schonbrun and Belvedere residences. Many good restaurants and public transportation close by. The instructions for self check-in are provided just prior to your arrival, but are very clear and easy to follow. However information regarding operation of the oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave would be helpful, particularly for guests not from EU and unformiliar with European appliances. Also information on disposal of garbage and recycling is also needed.
Communication is with a local management company, not with the owner. Response is usually timely, but agents do not seem to read the stream of earlier messages. 2 months prior to check in my credit card used for the full payment at booking was compromised and replaced. I had numerous communications with the management company and VRBO regarding providing them with the new card info for over 2 months prior to arrival. VRBO is not involved in payments because the management company uses their own software. The eventual suggested solution, confirmed several times, was for me to phone the company the day prior to checkin. However when I did call, the agent of the day informed me “they aren’t allowed to take credit card details over the phone”. In the end no deposit was made. Frustrating ++++.
