Hotel Mision Santa Maria

Hotel Mision Santa Maria

8/10 Good
"The hotel is incredible and, despite its age, it is very well maintained. The location and the beach are beautiful, and overall we had a very good experience with the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Considering that the hotel is in San Quintín rather than a major city or luxury tourist destination, I think the level of service is quite good. There could be a little more training when it comes to service etiquette and hospitality standards, but the staff's friendliness and willingness to help definitely make up for it. My only major complaint was the noise during our stay. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with a large event that weekend, and at night the hallway outside the rooms basically turned into a bar. There were people drinking, talking, and playing loud music until around 4:00 a.m. We reported the noise to the front desk, and I understand that controlling such a large group can be difficult, but at the end of the day, guests are paying for a room where they should be able to rest. In my case, I had a fishing trip scheduled for 5:00 a.m., so I basically got no sleep. I think the hotel should manage these types of events better or, at the very least, separate regular guests from large event groups whenever possible. Other than that situation, I really enjoyed the hotel and would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation would be to check whether any large events are scheduled during your stay, especially if you're looking for a quiet"
