"Stayed in Room 1 which was superb, very clean , big bathroom, mini bar, good selection of hot drinks. Staff were extremely helpful and very polite 10/10"
"The staff are amazing and really made us feel welcome! The pub is great, with lots of history, good food and great service.
The room itself is a bit dated, but clean with a comfortable bed. Love the old town location and 16th century history."

"The hotel has amazing resonance with the long history of the local area and the Cathedral. It is perfectly located for all the major features of St Albans. The internal design and style illustrates the long history, back to the late 15th Century. Understand that this does not compare with a 20th Century design; and so much the better for that. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and always too ready to help; the menus were very good. There is a good private car park immediately behind the hotel."
"Fantastic location right in the centre of St.Albans . Have stayed here several times with no problems, the new bathroom is lovely , photos are accurate.Elisa is an experienced and professional host and I will return . "
"Communication was non-existent - despite sending plenty of messages through the Expedia app, in the end I only got to speak with the owner when I was stood right outside the property. The beds are next level uncomfortable - very springy and one of them had a proper dip in its middle. Not recommended."
"The property is small and cozy as described, facilities are tidy and clean. We couldn’t receive the check-in instructions until we call at check-in time, the problem is solved quickly.
A reminder that the toilet door is a reused old front door, that means when you lock it, you should lift the handle up first and then turn the button.
The shower door needs a bit hard push to lock and avoid water came out.
Overall is satisfactory!
If a mirror added inside door the wardrobe, it would be great. "
