"Worst thing, not enough hot water for a two minute shower. Tiny room, not really anywhere to put luggage. Loose floorboard in the middle of the room. No real coffeemaker in the room just a kettle with nowhere to really plug it in. Coffe urns in the lobby always seemed to be empty when I wanted coffee. On the good side the bed was very comfortable. "

"Lots of history to this place and its gorgeous. Our favorite stay thus far in Vermont. Staff was super friendly. Beautiful room, huge jet tub and shower, lovely electric fireplace, and so quaint! Downside was that there were no curtains over the blinds on our windows, so we woke up with the sun."

"While the property needs updating, the price was great and, it wasn’t the staff that made it enjoyable, it was the people who are regular visitors, who took the time to show me around and chat by the awesome fire in the lobby. The outdoor pool looked like it needed to be cleaned, but it was a very nice treat on a cold winter day!"

"Hotel is beautiful but for the price that’s paid I expected more than just being able to look at a village. Some of the activities on the calendar didn’t exist. The kids were looking forward to them. After skiing there was nothing to do"

Stacy, the operations manager, was especially engaging, knowledgeable and helpful as we were deciding what to do for dinner and what events and venues were worth visiting. We took all of her suggestions and were thrilled when she was spot-on across the board, from Ye Olde Tavern to the syrup-making tour at Dutton’s to the Vermont Country Store. She’s an asset to your operations."
