Overall the property was very nice in a beautiful building with lots of history. It was easy to access the vaporettos and walk around to other areas of Venice. We had some issues with the very warm temperature in the room for which we requested assistance with, however, it remained quite high making it difficult to sleep. Our room was also facing the street in front which tended to be noisy in the mornings and evenings as children would use the area to play or things would be moved through the area. It was a fairly pleasant stay aside from the temperature issue and we would likely stay here again.

If you’d like to stay in a historical (middle-ages) property with all the modern updates and coolness, this is the place for you! We wanted to stay away from the big crowds on the western and southern parts of Venice and this hotel was amazing. Easily walkable to the “sights” but quiet & the best location for transport to the airport via the water bus. Our room had a small kitchen and could’ve easily slept another person up on the loft if we were a party of three. Our room looked out onto a quiet canal. Staff were lovely and helpful. There’s a snack bar, coffee café, and restaurant on site. The church next door is stunning!

Largest room we had on our trip. Clothes washer in common area came in handy. Just minutes to the water boat station. Property is well maintained.

Magical !!
This is the most magical place to stay. You feel like you are part of the Venetian Scholars. It gathers a great mix of young and old and has so many wonderful nooks to sit and just soak up what a Monastery may have felt like -but with a wonderful coffe bar added in!!We had the loft 2 room with huge venetian windows overlooking canal -superb!!!!and it had a kitchenette.

It is a great model for shared accommodation hotel. Building on an old monastery the cloister was put to good use. The room is generous with shared kitchen and lounge and large bathroom. I really love it and wish to return in future.

Combo is a fantastic base. Very close to the airport, 1 water bus 30 mins to get there. Walking distance to everything you need in Venice, and local restaurants around. We were hesitant to stay in a hostel as a couple, but the private room, cosy and safe atmosphere made it feel like a great choice. The room was big, clean, and the facilities excellent. The bar on site was cheap and amazing. People not staying at the hostel would visit the bar alone. I genuinely recommend this to people who are visiting Venice.

Awesome historical yet modern hotel.
Great unique hotel with interesting history away from the crowd. We enjoyed our stay very much at the Combo. There was a very nice restaurant and coffee shop in the complex. It was very close to the water bus to the airport, and we made it to Marco Polo in good time, just 30-40 minutes. Just be aware that there is no hairdryer and there are no toiletries other than a single basic shower soap for body and hair. Also, note that if you want AC, then don’t open the window because there is a sensor in the window frame that shuts off the AC.

The front staff went above and beyond in my opinion! She was excellent!!! I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but she changed our room for us to accommodate our needs. It was difficult for either of us to climb the stairs to one of the rooms. So she found us another room and moved our luggage over for us while we were out. Now that is service. So wonderful! I would definitely stay here again. Loved the history of the monastery. Also, loved the location…easy access to the water bus. Beautiful place!

The hotel is amazing, friendly staff members and easy going. It blew our mind when we arrived. My friend and I were sharing a room with 2 single beds, the first night the only had very thin pillows and slept very badly. The following day we received extra pillows and made it bit easier, the bed mattresses could be more comfortable though. The buffet breakfast was bit 'poor' for 12 euro we paid for (most of the times it was empty but it was constantly getting refilled), coffee from machine made. The following days we opted for the breakfast from the internal bar instead much better. On our last day we wanted to get some drinks around lunch time and both the bars were superbusy - 2 people serving the same customers at the time - waited about 20 minutes then given up. Apart from these couple of episodes, i would definetely come back! it is very close to pier for the airport and walking distance from all the attractions but not in the middle of it (which makes it very quiet and enjoyable!)

We had a fabulous stay here. Right next to the water taxi which was great for grabbing a boat out to Murano. The reception staff were helpful and gave us directions when needed, they also loaned us an iron. The building is stunning and it felt like a great place to sit and do any work needed. Breakfast had great options. There is plenty to do on site and we had a lovely breakfast out on the terrace one morning. The room itself was somewhat basic, which was to be expected, but it felt a little too minimalist. The sensor in the bathroom turns off constantly, we couldn't always find the buttons for things and we had no way to contact reception with any questions other than walking down to ask. That said, the bed was super comfy, we had a gorgeous view, and if you are staying for more than one night you get used to all its quirks. The area was nice to come back to after being amongst the chaos all day, as you walk back you start to feel calmer. We would totally recommend going to Bar Puppa which is very close and has some great deals (main course, drink and coffee for €15). Be prepared to wait for a table, but it is worth it. Overall, absolutely brilliant.

This is a dorm style property which can easily sleep 3 people in individual twin size beds (one of which is in a loft on the floor). Everyone at the reception desk is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. It is also very close to the water taxi drop off and they have a place to store your luggage should you get there before check in. It also offers a buffet breakfast as well as having a cafe where you can purchase assorted pastries or light lunch items and take them to a huge outdoor courtyard to enjoy.

Great location for vaporetti service and water taxi to and from the airport. On site cafe and bar were great and there is a police station right next door. We felt safe here and it is very walkable to the major sites!

Cool place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised. Small things to improve on tho: There were no cups in room; only one thin pillow for each..but maybe those were the point as this used to be an ancient convent where life was supposed to be austere :)

Hotel was located close to water transportation so could get to the airport, train station and other islands like Murano and Burano very easily. Also a 15 minute walk from the city centre and had a lot small local restaurants with great food. Hotel also had a nice bar full of people of different ages and backgrounds with a friendly atmosphere.

Loved this place! It was clean, spacious, and felt very safe. Quieter part of town which is so nice after the crowds. The front desk is 24/7 and very friendly - particularly Auralia. Enough people to socialize with if you want to but very quiet also. Great for families, couples, and all ages. We didn’t do breakfast but they serve delicious croissants and cappuccino a la carte. Lots of decent spots nearby for dinner.

The building is very beautiful and very well kept and reformed, it is a great experience to stay there. It combines the hotel and students accommodation which makes it very lively and fun. It also has a restaurant and a bar that was very handy to have. It is located in a quiter area of Venice which is nice and very close to a vaporetto stop.
