Perfect peace and quiet!
We came to this cottage having had a week's walking in St Emilion, and were really ready for the peace and quiet of this place. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area, which was beautifully shaded for most of the day. The cottage is well appointed, but if you like cooking could do with a few more utensils. The restaurant recommendations given by Caspian were very good so eating out was easy and inviting. The drive to Bordeaux took only an hour, and less than that to Bergerac, with all the vineyards inbetween to do lots of tastings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY..
Caspian and Lulu, we're fantastic hosts , they gave great advice regarding the area, informed us of wonderful nights out to night markets , jazz night /days, and we intruded to some lovely friends of Caspian and Lulu. Fabulous places to see within the area, they we're so happy to help nothing seemed to much trouble. The gite we stayed in was Gorgeous and they we're both so lovely putting up with our little noisy dog , Izzy. The Manor house , gite and cottages are lovely, the grounds and swimming pool are beautiful could not ask for anything else wonderful holiday and we will differently stay again, i've already recommend it to friends. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO CASPIAN AND LULU. For such a Fantastic Holiday.

Highly Recommended
La Gorce exceeded all of our expectations. We enjoyed this visit so much.... we even extended our stay! Wisteria cottage is charming, comfortable, spacious and clean. The heated pool, outdoor areas for relaxing and entertaining are especially inviting. We dined with friends one evening 'alfresco' in a picture perfect poolside setting. St. Emilion, Bordeaux, wine tasting and charming villages are nearby. There are also excellent restaurants in the area. Proprietors Cass and Lulu have found their niche as warm, gracious and attentive hosts. Thank you for a wonderful visit! We look forward to returning.

La Gorce is Wonderful!
Caspian & Lulu get everything right on every level! They are excellent hosts and La Gorce does not disappoint. They could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating and made us feel more like we were staying with friends rather than renting a gite. They made many recommendations for local food and markets and each one lived up to expectations. The whole property is immaculate - we stayed in Wisteria Cottage and found it large, comfortable and very well appointed. The air conditioning was a bonus as we experienced very hot conditions during our stay. la Gorce is set in its own extensive gardens which are maintained to a very high standard including the fabulous pool area. It proved ideal for our dog to run around safely & freely (at times!) To say La Gorce is 'dog friendly' would be an understatement, Jeffrey (Caspian and Lulu's dog) even popped in every morning to make sure all was well. He is an added attraction at La Gorce and an important member of the team! Caspian and Lulu could not have done more to make our stay so wonderful. We would highly recommend La Gorce and will certainly be returning.

A beautifully presented property with charming, helpful and friendly owners.
A fantastic holiday cottage. The cottage was furnished and equiped to the highest standard we have ever experienced, everything had been thought of. It was absolutely spotless and everything worked, it is clear that the owners had taken the time to actually live in the cottage to ensure nothing was missing. As for Caspian and Lulu the owners, what can I say, they were warm, friendly and generous, checking daily to see if there was anything they could help with and offering excellent advice, all without being intrusive. We selected the cottage because it was dog friendly and yes this was exactly right, even the owners dog Geoffery was happy to see new friends. Set in the middle of a vineyard, the cottage offered a tranquill escape from modern life, especially sitting around the lovely swimming pool in the evening enjoing the excellent local wine with the other guests and the owners. As a base for visiting Bordeaux, Bergerac, Sarlat etc it is excellent. Do try and visit the local market at Sainte Foy la Grande where the whole town turns out for this lovely Fench Saturday morning social event and the first Sunday in the month in Bourdeax when they close the streets to traffic so the tourists can enjoy the city at its best. What a holiday, thank you Caspian and Lulu, you fully deserve your 5 stars. Clive & Joanna.
