I had a nice stay here, good size and the bathroom was nice. There was a kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee machine. Location is great, walkable to a couple small grocery stores and close to the bus stop to downtown as well as a park along the water. Room was slightly dirty, the main space had been cleaned however there were lots of drawers but every single drawer was too dirty/dusty to actually unpack into, the chair by the coffee maker also had a layer of dust/coffee grinds on it. Could definitely use a deep clean. Tv was nice and there was a few streaming platforms to choose from. Wifi worked well and the one time it went out I messaged the host and they replied quickly and fixed it right aways. It was also a bit noisy as the door that connects to the main house must have been to a space regularly used by the hosts, I could hear conversations crystal clear from the bed and one morning I was awoken by the vacuum cleaner at 8:20am. Overall was a good and convenient stay :)

I borrowed a small foldable e-bike from my friend, and rather than leave it outside, i brought it inside the basement suit, where it easily fit. the next day, when i had trouble with the door, the host came, noticed my e-bike, and didn't say a word about not taking it inside. just before checkout, she sends a $70 charge as this was not allowed. when asked, she said it should be "common sense" not to take it inside. Also, everything inside is covered in plastic, making me worry that it only gets a wipe down. The towels also smelled moldy- and was slightly masked by the use of scented laundry. thee is no beside table/ lamp, so you need to be careful getting to bed in the dark. Also, this location isn't close to the skytrain- so you're at the mercy of buses, or like me, get dinged for bringing a bike.
