"Gorgeous location and lovely staff. Super restaurant, great pool. Only drawback was that we worried our 2-year old might find his way into the fast-running streams running through the garden - beautiful but potentially dangerous."
2/3 bedroom Secluded Villa 17th Century with Private heated Pool. Provencal gem
10/10 Excellent
"We had an absolutely lovely time at Valerie’s home. We stayed one week with two of our children. It was beautiful, relaxing and a lovely jaunt away from Gordes. It was our first time to Provence and it won’t be our last! It was hot, but the air-conditioning on the first floor worked well for sleeping and breeze during the day. My daughter slept on the top floor and was perfectly comfortable. Adults used to AC may find it uncomfortable. The view from the chairs by the pool in the evening makes it all worth it. Other notes: We cooked breakfast at home everyday which was quite feasible. We made a few dinners at home as well. All necessary equipment is there for cooking. The home is quite clean and well-cared for. Comments: The bed on the first floor with the AC is relatively uncomfortable for a couple. We are average to small middle-aged adults, so I would note this if you are sensitive to where you sleep. Additionally, be sure to arrive with all the things you may need for the first evening and morning. Otherwise—you cannot go wrong with Valerie’s beautiful home!!!"
"This was one of 6 properties we stayed at during our 32 day vacation in France and it was by far the worst. We chose this so-called 4 star property because of the excellent 8.6 rating and beautiful pictures on Expedia. The reality, unfortunately was totally different : the apartment we stayed in (the 2nd one after we asked to switch) was in a worn-down, dilapidated condition with mold in the shower, black mold in the shower vent, rusted toilet seat hardware, a clogged shower head, mold on the wall next to the kitchen countertop, an open garbage bin under the kitchen sink, a defective fridge, a worn-out sofa bed in the living room, etc… See pictures. They speak for themselves.
The apartments in this country club are a far cry from the description and beautiful pictures on their website and on Expedia. The pictures were clearly taken years ago and no longer reflect the deplorable condition this property is in today. And I’m not just talking about the apartments but also the roads on the property which are full of potholes and the weeds which are growing everywhere.
This property is in urgent need of a complete overhaul/renovation.
P.S. No comment on the golf course. It looked fine from a distance but we didn’t play golf during our stay."
