"Michael and Victoria love what they do, and it shows. The cabin was clean and comfortable, fishing was productive and fun (and the dog showed us where the fish were!) and the gourmet meals were incredible! If we are back in the area, we'll be back for sure!"

"An attractive place to stay. We had an unexpected continental breakfast with good choices. A lovely housekeeper made us welcome and lent us her hose to enable us to wash our dusty car. A comfortable room. Three dining options and a mercantile store on the doorstep. Perfect location. "
"We tried to stay at the Kenicott Lodge and are so glad it was full! Thats when we found Ma Johnson's Hotel! Absolutely fantastic!! It was like stepping into a time warp and going back in time. And McCarthy is not to be missed! What a cool little town. We stayed 3 nights at Ma's and enjoyed every minute. We were able to walk to a glacier, took the mine tour and went flightseeing, all of which Irecommend highly!! Add this to your Alaskan vacation plans!!"
"We loved everything about the lodge, the rooms were very clean and the rustic decor made us feel like we were right at home. The owners we very friendly and nice. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was very good. The staff were wonderful they told us a few places to go while we were in Valdez. We stayed in 8 different places on our trip to Alaska and this was our favorite! "
"Great location, easy to walk to downtown business district and drive to ferry. Room is kind of old but still clean and has everything we need. Great choice with the price especially have breakfast. Will stay here next time. "
