"The hotel is nicely situated in the old town and the room was clean and characterful. The staff helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant lovely. However, our junior suite (which I cannot see any photos of on the website) was located on the ground floor, the only natural light coming from a floor length stained glass door which was directly off a pathed alleyway connecting 2 streets directly through the hotel. It had no view or opening window for any fresh air. The room was directly opposite the restaurant and next to the lobby toilet. The small entrance to the room was the maid store so this made it loud from 0700 through to around 11pm. We could hear hand driers, waste water from all directions past our room and the noisy restaurant all day. Admittedly we didn’t complain to the reception as we only had a 1 night stay. The hotel boasts 5 stars, our room seemed more 3 star so fairly disappointing for the price."
