"We had a most enjoyable stay at Breitner House! It was the highlight of this trip to Amsterdam (which is saying quite a lot). Camilla is a charming hostess! She proudly told us the history of the house, and served a sumptuous, delicious, and beautifully appointed full breakfast. (She thoughtfully accommodated our dietary restrictions.) The location was perfect, it’s only a few minute walk to the red light district, and it’s right next to a metro and also very close to Amsterdam central station. "A genuine old Dutch rowhouse with a few rooms (with baths) up a flight of very steep stairs. Very quaint and comfortable. Convenient to the Anne Frank House, great restaurants and shopping, and a block from the tram that goes to the museum plaza and the central train station, if you don’t feel like walking. Some outside noise if you’re in the front room. Someone will carry your luggage up and down the steep staircase for you, but don’t reserve if you have difficulty walking or climbing. "

"It was enjoyable. The room and the view was exceptional! But the hot water in the bathroom seemed to be limited… cuz it turned cold after around 15 min use of shower. So the other person did take a cold shower. Except for that, everything is great. "

"Room itself was very nice and location was great however, the toll of having to haul our luggage not to mention ourselves up and down 5 flights of stairs took its toll on us and made the trip painful. Not only did they prepare a substantial take away meal, they opened early to allow us a hot meal before we left and also gave us the breakfast which served as another meal for our journey. "Wonderful hotel! It is close a few minutes walk to metro station which takes about 12min to reach Amsterdam central station. It is located in a quiet area with a 3min access to mini mart operating from 7am to 7pm and no such food or other facilities. It has an easy access to Amsterdam for day trips via metro. We found the breakfast a bit expensive for $24 per person so we decided to eat out. Our room had toilet on one side and shower sink on the other side. The automatic control of lights and curtains was a plus and easy. The room had a kettle and refrigerator which was a plus. Overall, pleasant! "
