"This place is a gem. A wonderful, secluded gem. The cabin sits by itself, surrounded by nature with no one else around. Very quiet. However, within about 30 minutes give or take you can be at Garner State Park or our favorite, Lost Maples Sate Natural Area. The hosts are very accommodating. "

"We had a great stay at this place. We floated the Frio one day and the next day enjoyed a hangout in Leakey we know. Afterwards we spent the evening at the Utopia Lake and floated on it and did the rope swing as well. The owner was always quick to respond to us and even had someone bring us a propane bottle to use due to our group forgetting ours. All in all it was a great trip!"

"I had a fine time, the location was good, the staff were friendly, the accommodation was clean and very well appointed. I would change two things in the listing. The wifi was intermittent and slow when it was present and though this is a "river retreat" there really isn't a river, looks like it's been dry for several years."
