The property is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by established trees and only about 7 minutes from Mapua.The quality of the home, the decor, all of the supplies is first class. Everything you could possibly think of is provided. We felt so at home and so relaxed. We will definitely return. "We enjoyed hiking down the trail to Kaiteriteri each day, taking in the gorgeous views and bird calls. If it’s really hot, know that there is not AC and the windows don’t have screens on them to keep bugs out at dusk. At other times of day, we were able to open the windows and let cool air in. We enjoyed the kitchen that enabled us to cook some of our own food."

"It was unfortunate that we had heavy rain and the roof leaked. The whole place was damp and the carpet spelt of wet dog. We arrived to a mouse in the kitchen, and the ants moved in overnight. The managers were thoughtful and responsive, however, the place was really not fit for living. Sorry, wasn’t cheap either. All very disappointing."

"A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ."
