Welcome to ‘South Haven’ where your beautiful country escape awaits! Within 2 hours of Sydney this picturesque property is nestled within 20 acres of lush bushland and stunning mountain views. The house offers 5 bedrooms (4 Queen and 1 double), sprawling lawns and gardens, a large pool, heated hot tub, walking trails, a 10 seat firepit and several other stunning entertaining areas to enjoy. There is also parking for up to 5 cars.
The Region
The centre of the Kangaroo Valley township is about a 10-minute drive away where you will find restaurants/cafes (including the Friendly Inn pub), a general store, post office, adventure companies, antique stores and a petrol station/convenience store.
If you like a bit of adventure, nearby attractions include the scenic Fitzroy Falls and The Morton National Park with its many hiking trails. Visit the Kangaroo Valley Golf Course, canoe or kayak on the Kangaroo River, explore the Pioneer Museum Park and the Kangaroo River Nature Reserve. Hire a bike, go fishing or sample one of the superb nearby wineries.
Accommodation – maximum sleeps 10
The main house offers 4 newly refurbished bedrooms all with double doors to the verandah, the master has an ensuite bathroom and there is an additional spacious hallway bathroom with corner spa bath and shower. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and the house also has reverse cycle air conditioning for those hot summer nights and additional heaters if required in the winter months.

Bedroom 5 – In the adjacent Coach House there is an additional upstairs bedroom with a Queen size bed (please note the room is up a staircase). This bedroom also has double doors opening onto an elevated balcony with a remarkable view across the Valley and Cambewarra Mountain Range.
Downstairs has a small kitchen nook/bar area with fridge, sink, toaster, kettle, plates and utensils. Additionally, there is a bathroom with shower, a comfy sofa with a flat screen TV.

Kitchen
South Haven offers a fully equipped rustic kitchen with a 5-burner gas cook top and a 90cm oven for the chefs in your group. A dishwasher, microwave, automatic Delonghi coffee machine, Espressotoria pod machine, large fridge, wine fridge and a complete inventory of cookware, crockery and glassware is available to ensure you are perfectly set up for entertaining. We have 10 seater dining tables inside and outside.
There is also a Weber Q BBQ on the verandah outside.
Living Room
The comfortable living room has a new Smart TV, DVD player and access to Foxtel, Netflix and other streaming channels. There is also a woodfire to snuggle up to in the cooler months with wood provided. There are also games/cards for your use.
The Property
The house is surrounded by a fully covered verandah and a large deck with a 10-seat outdoor dining setting perfectly placed to enjoy views of the Eastern escarpment and down the lush Valley.
Swim in the pool or relax in the hot tub (please bring your own pool towel) or simply read a book, take a deep breath to unwind in the garden and maybe spot some wildlife including wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, fairy wrens, kookaburras, lyrebirds and owls.
Enjoy the 10-seat outdoor fire pit, toast marshmallows and stargaze. (Note: summer fire ban restrictions can apply)
Feel like a walk? . . . the acreage provides extraordinary natural boulders and natural caves as part of the glacial valley that was formed millions of years ago as well as its own creek and nature trails.
‘South Haven’ is the perfect place for up to 5 couples, a group of friends, a large family or just the one couple wanting a romantic place to escape to.
