"Incredible location, spectacular views beautiful home"

"The house was fantastic, lots of space and a great layout. The owner was responsive about questions with the grill and parking, great interaction. The driveway is very steep and so scary, none of our guest would parking in it. The ice maker in the basement is extremely loud, we thought there might be something wrong with it, so we turned it off and emptied the bin, just to be safe. The rooms were very nice, with plenty of room for everyone. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. The water pressure is not great but everything worked as expected. The ping pong table, pool table, and hot tub were a big hit. We could not get the outside TVs working, probably just a battery issue. However, the deck and views were really relaxing.Overall, a great experience."

"The view from the porch is what sold me! It’s very relaxing. Being a log cabin on the lake was phenomenal. It really made you feel one with nature. We enjoyed the little things the cabin had to offer from the blankets to the puzzles to the decor was perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked and we weee able to prepare each meal with ease. The cabin is very clean and the host is on point. The rocking chairs and the table and the swing on the porch were used a lot since the weather was so nice . Thank you for such an amazing place to stay. We will be back ! "

"We have stayed at this hotel several times a year, every time we attend an event at the Harvester. Over the years, the condition of the property continues to decline. The side entrance door does not close securely making it easy for non guests to enter. The bathroom shower curtain had dark black hairs all over it. The shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers have been removed. The ceiling in the bathroom has mold on it. Very disappointing as this has been our go to hotel wherever we are in Rocky Mount for a night of music. We will be looking for a different place to stay next month. "

"I usually stay here for personal or business trips by myself and book the single bed unit. On a prior visit, a neighbor had to switch from one single bed unit to another for a problem. On this visit, no single bed unit was available due to a problem. I was given the two bed unit, which is more expensive; however I did not enjoy it as much as my prior visits with a single bed unit. The rooms are too small for the two bed units; so my stay was a little less comfortable than expected. Overall, however, I still consider it a top motel and excellent place to stay in this area. Next time, I was promised my single bed unit would be good to go. :)"
