This is an older hotel, it has some worn furniture and the tiniest little elevator you've ever seen, very much like what you'd find in Europe but it also has a great deal of charm. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were very soft, the bathroom was clean and the staff was fabulous. I requested a fridge it was there in 5 minutes I requested an iron for a shirt it was there in 5 minutes on the second day we needed more shampoo and towels they were there in a matter of minutes. Marie behind the front desk was the absolute best. Additionally it couldn't have been better located. Coffee straight across the street Times Square 2 minutes down the road and a good many popular New York sites in walking distance..I have to mention the food,great street food everywhere, good restaurants everywhere and the best ice cream in the city inhouse. We had a blast

The room was swept, and the beds were clean, unlike many other reviews. That's the only good thing I can say. One elevator was broken so the wait time to go to the lobby reached 8 minutes during busy times (night/mornings). Our bathroom had a broken section out of the vanity, and the shower continuously switched back to running bath water. The blind was broken and wouldn't roll down. The TV didn't work, and the staff offered no recourse for fixing it. There also isn't daily housekeeping. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, with industry right beside the hotel. It's on a busy highway, so even though the water is right across the street, you can't get there without crossing 8 lanes of heavy traffic. Breakfast was available, but substandard. Considering prices of other hotels in New Haven, I still think it was worth it, but as my husband pointed out, you absolutely get what you pay for.

The staff I encountered were very helpful. My stay was overall good, This is my second time staying at this hotel. The only issue is the elevators. I believe there are 5 elevators yet, they take forever to come. There two times that I and others waited over 15 minutes for a elevator to arrive.

Great proximity to theaters and good food in Hell’s Kitchen. Worst bed I have tried to sleep in since n overnight in my son’s frat house 20 years ago.

Staff were friendly and helpful....except for when I had an issue with no cold water in the shower, fiddled with it for 20 minutes but it was scalding hot. Maintenance guy showed up and wrenched the handle back and forth with way more force than should be required, apparently the mixing valve was stuck. He then proceeded to lecture me on how showers "worked". I know how showers work when they work properly. The tub drain was also very slow so that by the end of the shower I was ankle deep in water and soap sludge. All that said, can't bet the location, all other staff interactions were friendly and helpful. They let us check our bag on arrival so we could hit Times Square until the 4 P.M. check in time, and again on check out day so we could wander around a bitore and have lunch before heading to the airport. Just bad luck getting the room I had I guess, I'd stay at the property again.
