"We came to Korea to visit a friend and explore with her. We picked the Kensington as suggested by our friend. We love the camping vibe of this hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. Note , it is very sparsely decorated inside. There was a third bedroom with no furnishings. Each guest room had a bbq outside to grill. "The manager was very nice and even though he spoke no english, we managed to communicate with him. The area around the hotel was depressed and looked like some of the buildings were closed, almost a boarded up feeling. The beds were hard as a rock, literally. Shower was great. Our big problem was mosquitos in the room. Even though the screens looked fine, mosquitos kept coming in. My daughter had at least 15 bites, many of them on her face from during the night. They buzzed us all night long....

"The hotel seems new or, at the very least, newly remodeled. There is an outdoor pool which is free to use and very kid friendly. A sauna is in the basement, for a small fee, it is small but clean. They allow you to hang out on the rooftop, which is fantastic; it makes for wonderful nighttime views of the skyline. I would definitely stay again if I returned to Sokcho."

"super clean and convenient to get to the main local fish market and bus station. there is a massage shop on the 2nd floor, very good and reasonable price. We got a room with ocean view and beautiful day and night. highly recommend. "
