"I needed a place near King Shaka Airport to spend a night after a long flight from Dubai and Umdloti is about the easiest and closest, so I booked online through Expedia and got a good price too. The waves that morning of the Thursday 4 June were the highest they'd been for years and the early morning view was wonderful. I arrived very late and the watchman had all my details and let me in. My only regret was not being able to stay longer, as I had to drive to my destination the next morning....

"We had a most marvellous break from the rat race of Johannesburg. Peace and quiet notwithstanding it was school holidays. Breakfast was a buffet of every one would expect and much much more. The staff were amazing. I am currently looking at the calendar to find another break time to be enjoyed at the Pearl. I am 71 and my girlfriend is 58. We both had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the restaurants on the premises. Thank you guys."
